It seems an unprecedented amount of pre-orders have been received for the Nintendo Wii according to successful online retailer Play.com.
The company stated that it has pre-sold 7,000 units of the revolutionary console within nine days of it being available for pre-order, this equates to the Wii being the fastest, and the single biggest launch ever seen on the site.
Speculative reasons behind the vast number of pre-orders boil down to self-evident factors such as the consoles cheap pricing, the strength of the Nintendo brand name in the wake of the Ds, and of course the innovative way it allows gamers to experience and play games.
