Nintendo have reserved, and are set to spend in excess of $200 million dollars in promoting and marketing its intuitive forthcoming Wii video games console according to Bloomberg.
The extravagant allocated budget is set to target multiple audiences, and to captivate those targeted to make further steps in either enquiring, or evidently purchasing the console.
George Harrison, the company’s senior vice president for marketing stated; “About 80 percent of advertising for Wii will target adults in an attempt to expand the video-game market beyond children and teens”.
The fruits of Nintendo’s labour are set to come into play tomorrow when the first Nintendo Wii advertisement is set to make its début appearance on American television, ahead of the US launch which takes place November 19th.

Yup, Bloomberg’s the source from which this article originated as I’ve stated :) Whether Nintendo’s $200 million advertising budget can wrestle gamers away from the graphical powerhouses it’s up against is anyone’s guess, but it’s sure to go along way in helping it succeed
Hey sickr,
Do you know what that trackback is all about, as in “trackback by Passing Time…”?
Thanks
I believe the Trackback is similar to a ping. So for instance because Julian later mentioned this story on his blog, his blog automatically pinged mine to inform me. I think :)
