Nintendo 3DS: EA Worker Calls The Nintendo 3DS ‘Magical’

John Schappert, EA’s chief operating officer has gone on record to say just how much he adores Nintendo’s forthcoming 3DS system.

“The 3DS is just incredibly cool. The 3DS is magical. You put that in your hand, you look down, and all of a sudden it’s in 3D without glasses. That’s an amazing experience. I’m a huge fan.”

“I think that device is going to sell like hot cakes. I think it’s going to do incredibly well, and in typical Nintendo fashion they have re-energized the industry, yet again. I give them nothing but credit and we are excited to be supporting that platform with Madden, FIFA, and The Sims that we announced.”

  1. I was happy until the last sentence when they said they’d be shitting on the 3DS with their Madden, FIFA and Sims shovelware.

    For the record, the only good Sims are the flagship games.

  2. Y’know what? I had a thought just a minute ago. I’ve been catching up on my DS games lately (My first was the DSi last year), so I’ve been playing Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice for All. Anyway, I wonder how a new Phoenix Wright / Miles Edgeworth / Apollo Justice game would benefit from the 3D?

    1. An Ace Attorney game in 3d would be awesome. 3D scenery, examining evidence in a 3D style etc. I cannot wait. ;-;

  3. I’d expect nothing less from nintendo they continue to be innovative and stay true to gaming, as a nintendo fan I’m extremely excited to see the 3ds and can’t wait for it’s release

    1. That’s exactly what I was hoping for. Actually, probably what will happen, is an upgraded original SSB. I would love for them to port SSBB over to the 3DS, but why only Brawl, when they could release an updated version of all three SSB games over the 3DS’ lifetime? They’re already updating two N64 games, so why not another one, and a few GameCube games while they’re at it?
