Nintendo Wii: Kirby’s Epic Yarn’s Visual Style Could Come To Mario Games

The lavish visuals that adorn Kirby’s Epic Yarn could well make their way into the Mario series according to Takashi Ikegami, a composer for HAL Laboratory.

“When I first saw them, I thought they were perfect for Kirby. I think there’s a lot of potential for expanding this style to other series, like making a game called Mario’s Epic Yarn. That’s how well I thought the foundation had been laid, so I was really happy that from among all the characters available it was Kirby who was chosen.”

  1. We already have Super Mario Bros. and Paper Mario. Why yarning up Mario too? This Kurby game itself already looks silly, compare to the classics, and, after playing the virtual console games on the Wii, I couldn’t get into this one.

  2. Ummm…in my opinion, MARIO mostly belonged on paper, he’s the first to experiment in another dimension, don’t get me wrong I would likely love to see MARIO and co. as yarn, but I think he should remain on paper instead. :) *Whirr*

  3. I think that would be a very cool idea, especially if kept the premise on how it happened, like the bas guy who turned Kirbys world into yarn left for the mushroom kingdom and turned Mario’s world into yarn, it would be like a video game series thats composed of other video game series.

  4. I prefer Yoshis Epic Yarn Island, cause hes cute, but yarn mario would be a bit fag, mario is too cool to be cuter but Ill play it anyways
