Legendary games designer Shigeru Miyamoto has revealed precisely why Nintendo took the opportunity to remake the critically acclaimed Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 3DS.
“The biggest reason for me personally [to remake Ocarina of Time] was that I myself wanted to see the majestic scenery of Hyrule in stereoscopic 3D.”
“In all honesty, wanting to get that sense of really “being there”, in 3D, was a very big factor behind this.”
– Shigeru Miyamoto

Sometimes I think of Miyamoto as a kid who just wants to play awesome games. This confirms my theory.
Way to go Miyamoto-San!
I wonder what the new additions to the game will be… beta stages and weapons now available… who knows?!
Great thinkin Miyamoto thanks to you i can replay my favorite game in 3d
Translation: I really wanted to make a bunch of money on a game without actually having to create a new game.
Meh, who cares? We’re still getting what I think to be the greatest game of all time, in THREEEE DEEEEE
I hope he feels the same way about Termina. Majoras Mask
