Hideki Konno, the producer behind the Nintendo 3DS, has explained to online gaming publication Gamasutra that the Nintendo 3DS eShop has been delayed until May because Nintendo want to make sure it is better than the current Wii and DSi stores.
“We definitely want to make sure that it’s ready before we bring it out. The iterations that we’ve had before – for Wii and DS – to be honest, we just haven’t been as satisfied as we would like.”

They have had, like.. 5 years to make a good online shop. I mean, from the very beginning the wii’s shop was slow and hard to explore. And they knew they would have to make it a better for a future system. And this sounds like they have only started a year ago or something on the new online-shop. Thats really bad planning for such a big company.

I dont mind waiting! Although, it would have been nice if they were better prepared.
It’s a bummer that it won’t be opened until may but i’m happy they want to make sure it’s better than the nintendo wii/dsi shop.
Its good to wait for something great than to recieve a pile of crap at that moment

People really shouldn’t complain. I’d rather wait and have a better quality e-shop than have it come out sooner and have lesser quality.
I can wait. I rather get a good service than a rushed one.

My question is, Sickr, you use strange grammar when referring to a companym, like Nintendo. You say, “Nintendo want” but it should be, “Nintendo wants.” Or often you’ll say, “Nintendo are” when it should be, “Nintendo is.” I don’t know, just a little pet peeve. :p
It’s a case of either or.
i dont know about the dsi and dsi-xl shops but the wii shop was horrible i didn’t know how to find anything my first time and it was way to slow but i’m hoping this one is good.

Why don’t they just give us the original shop now, and give us the new, better one in a future update?
I would of rather waited for the console to be released with all online capabilities, my dsi ware games ready to be downloaded and more games made available on or around release date then have to wait for 6months for any of the good games to come out and till ‘may sometime’ so I can play games I’ve already brought. I would of happily waited till xmas 2011 for a complete 3ds release. Instead in getting more annoyed, dispite my appreciation that they still need time to work on it
hi there your right E-shop and internet pushed back too june 6 us or june 7 ever ware else i hope abd pry too god that E-shop and 3D browser too get released 30 minutes before E-3 confrence soo i can watch E-3 in zero glasses 3D
well the update for me is on june 6 so i can watch it but ill be on a field trip in school so i can’t, it sux but i guess ill look up a recorded version that night, probably im just gonna watch nintendo’s.
