Banjo-Kazooie predecessor Project Dream seemingly uploaded online

Rare‘s famed Project Dream, which was the predecessor to the beloved Banjo-Kazooie, appears to have been uploaded to Archive.org. The game was in development for the Super Nintendo before it was canned and morphed into Banjo-Kazooie for the more powerful Nintendo 64 console. Its authenticity is still to be decided, but various Rare staffers have said that it does indeed look legitimate.

Someone claimed to have uploaded the SNES prototype of Project Dream that they had in their personal collection on Archive.org. This is footage by OlieGamerTV. We don't know if its authentic but it works.

  1. It kinda sucks that this was scrapped. This is one of the best looking snes games and it never released. At least we got one of greatest platformers of all time out of this.
