Nintendo 3DS: New Fire Emblem Game Coming To Nintendo 3DS?

Nintendo is apparently producing a brand new entry in the critically acclaimed Fire Emblem franchise for the Nintendo 3DS. Online gaming site The Magic Box has posted that the new Fire Emblem game will be announced by Nintendo fairly soon. The game is apparently titled Fire Emblem: Blue Sacred Sword and Red Demon Lance.

The game will take place 100 years after Sealed Sword, the story centers around Princess of Kingdom Bern and Prince of Kingdom Lycia, each will have different story in their perspective. The game will also have new Casual Mode for beginners and Lunatic Mode for advanced players.

  1. Now let’s just hope NOA deems us worthy… Also they should take this opportunity to release an official translated FE6 on the virtual console.

  2. Hopefully, since it’s not a remake, they see reason to bring it here. I’m a little skeptical now given NoA’s recent track record.

That being said: returning to Elibe? AWESOME!

  4. You should all take this info with a grain of salt.

The rumors originated on 2ch, and many fans are already deeming these new titles to be fake.

  6. Mmmkay but could we also get the other remake on NDS? I really wanted to play that one. But if this rumor is true than awesome!!!

  7. Wait is it like two games, a red and a blue version? Kind ok like Pokemon, cuz I’m not gonna lie having a Pikachu would be pretty awesome.

    1. I guess so. If it is, I’m going to get Red Demon Lance, and I’m going to make my brother get Blue Sacred Sword. We’re both fans of TRPGs and the Fire Emblem series.

  8. The casual mode sound true, the “Lunatic Mode” sounds kind of fake if only because of the name. If true, I’d buy both. I only buy one version of Pokemon games, but I’d buy both of Fire Emblem. I like to play as the guy, but I also like to play as the girl simply because she’s a girl, and there are different perspective. Now let’s hope this is true, and that NoA brings it to the US. We need more software for the 3DS and they need to convince people that they care. The Wii may be going out, but the 3DS is brand new.

    1. Lunatic mode might be for Japanese maybe? They’ll call it Master mode or something here. But yeah if they’re 2 different stories I’ll totally buy them.

  9. Well, up until now I was buying a vita but this news has sold me the 3ds. There’s no doubt that the vita is far superior console but apart from modnation and little big planet, I hate what they’ve done with the games. 3DS it is unless something amazing comes to the vita.

  10. As much as this is amazing, I’m not getting my hopes up just yet. This may just be a fake rumor. Even though I REALLY want this to be true, I’m not going to be sold until I see some some screenshots.

  11. I don’t undertand, is that one game with a long title, or two different games? Fire Emblem: Blue Scared Sword and Fire Emblem: Red Demon Lance? :s

  12. Woot sounds aweosme! I only played the GBA ones but they were fantastic!

Were the console iterations good? Did they play differently or add new mechanics cause I never got a chance to play them despite owning a Gamecube for some time and loving it as is evident from my username X)

Either way this is some great news. The 3DS and Ninty can only go higher from here!

    1. I played the one for the Gamecube and Wii and they were a lot of fun. They center around Ike and his companions. It’s got a great story but the gameplay isn’t as solid as the gba games. Still a must play game if you’re a fan!

The Wii game was SO HARD though. Really pushes your strategic skills!

      1. Awesome stuff thanks man! I’d always wondered where Ike came from (saw him in SSBB). I’m gonna have get those online for a play!

  13. Nyaa~! I seriously need a 3DS before this comes out over here!! (Then again, there’s no telling whether it will or not, given that 12 isn’t scheduled to come out DX)

  14. I REALLY hope this one comes stateside! I’ve purchased every American released Fire Emblem so far (and two copies of the original!). FE is my absolute favorite video game series!

  15. I can’t believe you guys actually think this is real, it is obviously fake, I mean ”Blue Sacred Sword” and ”Red Demon Lance”? Someone has been playing pokémon a lot recently.

    1. Maybe, Intelligent Systems is taking a page out of Pokemon’s book then. Sure, I kind of have my doubts about this rumor but it would be interesting if it is true. Having 2 games with different perspectives would be a first for the series.

The names could use more work though but Nintendo seems to like red and blue particularly. I will say though that, if the games are ture and they make it out here, that NoA gives them more creative names.

  16. Oh man, I can’t believe they’re actually continuing with the Elibe storyline. I was so convinced it was done. This is cool.

Not “the gameS”; sounds to me like it’s one game with a long title. Not something new for Fire Emblem. See FE1, or “Shadow Dragons and the Blade of Light” in Japan; FE8, “Shining Stones of Holiness and Evil”; FE12, “New Mystery of the Emblem ~Heroes of Light and Shadow~”.
