Nintendo America has announced a new Metallic Rose coloured Nintendo DSi XL. The Metallic Rose is apparently an eye-catching shade of pink with a luminous modern sheen. The console will go on sale in the United States on September 18th and is priced at $169.99. Anyone thinking of picking this up?

Big companies, Sega, Nintendo and others are still publishing games on DS system, It makes sense with DS games you can play 2D platform games as the DS is built for it.
The DS needs to die soon. There still going to release some games on DS next year, I’ve seen release dates of some games and some are due to release in 2012.
Nintendo is going to lose money with releasing a new color for XL. 3DS is backwards compatable, But if you read my comment a few above, You will see the problem. The XL is going to sell like pancakes in England :(

This may be true… however… the 3DS CAN PLAY DS GAMES! What’s the use?!
yeah seriously the 3DS is backwards compatible. the DSi XL’s screens might be bigger but the resolution is just stretched. And those companies need to stop developing games for the DS and get on to developing for 3DS already.
If they dropped the price, I will. I’m not buying it for the same price as a 3DS.

I know they are still making games for DS. BUT it’s just stupid to promote the XL and forget 3DS nintendo! Just change the Color of the 3DS or make a bigger redesign and change color, 3DS already has a Red now. Make It Game Over XL!

People i understand your frustration but Nintendo is probably using the same plastic that was used for the Metal Pink (or whatever) DS Lite shells and yes the DS XL price don’t have any logic.
