This weeks Media Create Japanese software charts show that Capcom’s Resident Evil Revelations managed to secure second place on its week of release. The software charts show that there were a grand total of twelve Nintendo related games in the top twenty overall. The Nintendo 3DS once against topped the Japanese hardware charts, easily outselling the competition selling 84,789.

Took long enough XD. Also, PSVita launches this month in North America, Europe and Australia, let’s see if it can fare against the 3DS better than the PSP did against the DS.

I think sony will do better this time. They have to do, psp in my opinion was not worth buying, I played about 6 games and sold it, while on DS, I bought many games, and still have and play it.
First year American sales of PSP were actually stronger than those of DS. I honestly doubt Vita can pull that off.

why shouldn’t they? I bought my wii in april and few weeks later the rumors of a new nintendo console started. I would still buy one today, even because the price is lowing…
Did you look at the same sales chart as me? Japanese Wii sales are abysmal, only a small fraction of how Wii used to sell a few years back.

I really hope the PSVita starts doing better. The last thing I want is for iPhone and Android gaming to take over. Those games don’t even deserve to be called games.
MGS Touch and SFIV Volt are actually pretty good on the iPhone. But I agree with you for the most part.

Funny how the 360 barely outsells the PS2 in Japan. The west needs to learn to have better taste like our friends to the east.
