White Wii U Pro Controller Revealed

Nintendo revealed the product version of the Wii U GamePad on Sunday during the pre-E3 Nintendo Direct. The Wii U GamePad was displayed in both white and black. The Wii U Pro Controller was also announced during the pre-E3 event, but was only shown in black. Which Wii U Pro Controller color do you prefer?

  1. Are there any shots of the thing from behind? I’m very curious about the triggers. This is relevant to my interests. Also, I’d like a Black WiiU and thus a black WiiU Pro. I don’t want clashing colors.

      1. Yeah? The Wii U GamePad’s triggers are NOT analogue, so it’s actually more likely that these triggers are not analogue as well. I hope I’m wrong though, because racing games and the like will be crap if I’m right :(

  2. I personally like the white Nintendo Wii U better because nothing says Nintendo then a white system.

            1. Except for, you know, the silver/gray Gamecube.

Not to mention the gray NES, Game Boy, SNES, N64, Game Boy SP, Game Boy Micro, and DS

  3. getting the white pro controller which should go nicely with my black wiiu cause black and white belong together.

  4. I’m still torn between getting the black or white WiiU, although I must say I prefer this controller in white.

  5. I’d love one with a Yin-Yang swirl. Guess I could get an opposite-colored controller to get the effect.

    1. Awesome work, Mario. I’m glad to see there is still a lot of love for the GC. I know I still love it.

  8. I like both colours, but I hate the fact that Nintendo’s systems are shiny, I’m one of those that prefer matte, but I can live with it. I’ve been wondering though – I did mention a while back about the pro controller & how it gives developers the choice of just doing their games as they do on the PS3 & 360, just in higher res – but will they games that they develop allow you to use both forms of control? I know that Nintendo will probably not come out with this info any time, if ever, but it’s something I’ve been thinking about. I can understand if some people will look at this comment and think/say ‘why would you want to play the games as they already are in the PS3/PC/360?’, but think about it, I know that the Game Pad is the main thing, obviously, with the Wii U, but to be honest, when it comes to Batman: Arkham City or Assassin’s Creed 3, some may want to use the classic controls without having to focus on the Game Pad functionality, or maybe they could make it so you could turn off the touch screen (or make it inactive) & just play it how you usually would on other consoles. I just think that they should offer different varieties of game play with their games that they release on the console. Sure, I could be wrong & no-one agrees or thinks it’s a waste of money, but it could be the thing that Nintendo needs.

I also wonder if Nintendo will offer the older games of series through downloads on the eShop – personal opinion here, but when you add games of a series to a new console (not meaning the Wii U, but to a Nintendo console) the consumers should be able to purchase the other games in the series through download or any other way (if available) because some households may not be multi-console buyers – but I think that’s just wishful thinking.
