Sonic Blast Heads To Nintendo 3DS eShop This Week

Nintendo UK has announced that Sega Game Gear classic Sonic Blast, is coming to the Nintendo eShop this week. Playing as the legendary Sonic, or as his sturdy friend and rival Knuckles, it’s your job to retrieve the stolen Chaos Emeralds from the evil genius Robotnik. You must overcome a maze of traps, devilish robots and intimidating scenery, before taking on the mighty Robotnik. To do this, you’ll need all the new moves and special power-ups at your disposal.

  1. Played this on Sonic Mega Collection (+).
The screen is too close to Sonic/Knuckles, they can barely run around the loops, and…

Whatever. It’s weird and pooey, that’s enough info.
I think I remember Sonic and Knuckles being oddly shiny though. Buy it if you like shiny Sonic.

  2. And they said Sonic Chaos was the worst 2D Sonic game?

Apparently no one at Sega played this pile of crap. It both plays and looks awful. Why would you get this on your 3DS?

  4. I’m sorry for the poor souls who buy this abomination. Fuck Sega for giving us shit like this instead of the great Handheld Sonic games, the Sonic Advance series to be more specific. Such a tease…
