      • Mario? Zelda? Star Fox?
        seriously Nintendo is mostly rehashes.
also Mass Effect isnt really a rehash at all.

        • There is a different between sequels and rehashes . Nintendo isnt mostly ‘rehashes’ at all .

Ok NSMB games are all a bit similar . Other than that Nintendo games are always changed vastly .

      • I don’t know if you have played a lot of Animal Crossing games or if you just didn’t watch the whole video, but Nintendo has added a TON of content to this game. Some people didn’t enjoy the other games in the series so they just wouldn’t understand, but for an Animal Crossing fan, this is huge! There are so many new things and so much content that this game will be the best AC game by far and a top runner for all 3DS games for sure.

        • I agree, it’s had tons of stuff added. Compare to the de one, wild world. All you could do was sit in your town an have ppl come over. This has really stepped it up.

  1. I wish they made it so you can change the seasons by hemisphere/location. It snows when it’s summer here :( but meh, I’ll still get the game.

  2. My body is SOOO ready! Several of these changes\additions seem long overdue, like being able to swim, and K.K. being a DJ alongside his 9-5 as a troubadour is neat. Add in 3D, and I say “Shut up and take my money!”

  4. besides all these new changes to the formula, I also want to be able to walk/run around town without killing the grass… Has this piece of information been discussed in any Nintendo Direct or official interview or whatever yet?

    • So far I don’t think it’s been brought up. But since there are random small dirt patches in the video and not how the dirt patches were in Wild World, I think the stupid “animal tracks” are still going to be in the game :(

I REALLY hope it’s not in there though.

  5. Nintendo has really outdone themselves with this game. I can’t even begin to describe how excited I am for this game. Everything seems like they have put so much effort into making it the definitive version of Animal Crossing. I will play this for years to come.

    • Looks pretty neat but not sure if I’ll get the game at launch. But hope everyone who pre-orders the game gets their hats. Darn pre-order bonuses!

  6. I’ve only played the the original and the DS one and I loved playing them. I love the new things they are adding, seems like they’re going all out on this one. Now it just makes me wonder, how will the (if any) Wii U one will be?

  7. I’m not really interested in this series, but I’ll raise a toast for the fans to congratulate them getting a decent game as long as they don’t heckle me for not partaking of their cake and wine.

  8. I used to game A LOT on my DSi, then I got my 3DS and am like, “Whoa!” because the graphics and gameplay are next-level.

In turn, I’m so excited to go from Wii graphics to WiiU graphics.

It doesn’t matter what the Vita or PS3 can do, because I compare Nintendo’s successor systems to the systems I was previously on, not what’s currently out there.

SO, to me, the 3DS and WiiU have AMAZING graphics, and they have the software I want… So for we Nintendo-exclusive Fanboys, we don’t know what we’re missing, and can forever live in gaming bliss in a Nintendo Land somewhere in the Miiverse.

    • I know, the idea seems weird for an Animal Crossing game right? They looked kind of fun though and it’s not like we have to play them if they aren’t. And at least Tortimer finally got to retire. I’m wondering what Pelly’s role is in this new game.

    • Well he still does his mellow thing he used to do at the Roost. Now he is just a DJ during the week nights probably. He needed a new gig anyways, I doubt Brewster paid him much money.

  9. I am so excited. One thing the video had me wondering was how many villagers are there in your town? I know on Wild World it was 8 and on City Folk it was 10 or 12 or something. When I was watching the video it seemed like there were houses EVERYWHERE. But whenever they had town meetings there was only like 6 people… I wonder what the limit is? And I want this game bad enough to make a time machine just to go get it. I wouldn’t say I want it more than Wii U because the Wii U brings me more than one game, but I want more than any of the Wii U games.
