  1. Game looks like a ton of fun! Does anyone know if off screen play has been confirmed for this game ? Anyway , can’t wait to get me some Lego Sandbox action on my Wiiu ^_^.

    1. Seems like the gamepad is pretty heavily implemented, like in ZombiU.

Off screen play seems pretty unlikely. But they haven’t officially said no.

      1. Sanbox gameplay off screen just seems to make sense! I really hope they do it.

  2. @Nintenward..That’s a good question. However, I think that the gamepad is so heavily integrated into the gameplay, like Zombi U, that it would be difficult to offer gamepad play as well. Hopefully, I’m wrong!

  3. This game looks like a kiddie game the more I see trailers. I don’t see how anybody can argue with that, it’s based on a kiddie toy. If it was meant for adults why not just make it with out using Legos, and but nooo, Nintendo caters only to kids its clear.

      1. I never said they weren’t yes lego games are on the hard core systems but so are many other hard core games like skyrim and soon to be bio shock and deaf space. The point is mostly only kiddie games are being released on the wiiu where the hard core systems tend to have more than just kiddie games.

      2. so… zombiU is a kiddie game? bayonetta will be a kiddie game? monster hunter?

also: bad attempt at trolling, Amy.

      3. I will give you bayonetta but zombiu is shovelware Imo. However regardless yes there are a few decent games on the wiiu but overall they are games for Mongoloids and kids

    1. Who cares ? Seriously , if you’re the type of person who disregards things because they’re kiddie then you’re a narrow minded twit.
M rated games are like Alcohol and E rated games are like Fruit juice. Getting pissed is great!!! but sometimes , you need to drink some fucking fruit juice you know ?

    2. Dear Amy,

How are you? NINTENDO makes games for everyone. Mature used to mean a reasonable responsible person i.e a man that marries a woman and has a wonderful family, or a woman that gets married and also raises a great family. In short propaganda driven FPS games are not mature, but made for the easily brainwashed. Societies with weak family structures for my dear lady, as happened to Greece and Rome. If you want mundane on nintendo, there is :

      1) COD 2) Madden 3) FIFA13

If you want gaming pure for now there is :

      1) Trine 2 directors cut 2) Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate 3) Batman Arkham City reloaded 4) Super Mario U ( Triple A title that even game informer gave 9.5 out of 10 ), 5) Little inferno 6) AC3 7) Tekken Tag 2 8) Darksiders 2 9) Ninja Gaiden 3 Razors 10) Fluidity…….etc.

If you need virtual console there is :

      1) the Wii U’s virtual console
      2) the Wii’s Virtual console

    1. Definitely three games I’m lookin forward to! The Rayman Legends demo is incredible , especially with 5 people playing at once. Monster Hunter is just Tri in 1080p with loads of content , keyboard support , Voice and 3DS link up play , what could go wrong ?
And Lego City looks like tons of fun. It just looks so much less linear and repetative than other Lego games.

      1. Well the thing is when i get my WiiU, i want to play it with my brother and friends, and my brother is getting a 3DS tomorrow, so i can go on Monster Hunter with him, and on Rayman i can play with both my brothers.

Then i’ll probably get NG3RE, because i love the series, although, Metal Gear Rising demo has really impressed me so i could end up enjoy that more when i comes out in 2 weeks.

      2. My little bro is getting Monster Hunter ultimate on 3DS and I’m getting it on Wiiu. So we will just share each others games and play together localy.
NG3RE is awesome on Wiiu; The improvements are dramatic. 4 Characters instead of 1 , Online Coop , Lots of blood and dismemberment , etc etc etc.

I would recomend Nintendo Land , the game is amazing multiplayer and it’s even a blast on your own collecting prizes and stamps and trophies. Pikmin adventure is like a full on game. It takes about 5 hours to finish and then you have to get master rank on each of the 20 levels using Olimar or the Pikmin.

        I would reccomend Nintendo Land , NSMBU , ZombiU , NG3RE , Trine 2 , Nano assault , Mighty switch force.

All excellent games. Then you have the Multiplats which you’ve probably already played or have no interest in.

      3. Oh Nano Assault too >.< the music in that game is amazing, same with Mighty Switch Force.

I'd get Nintendoland just because of the deluxe bundle, it'll keep me interested for a week or 2.

      4. Yeah Nano assault’s music is awesome , it’s like a hardcore German House rave! I crank up my sub when I’m alone plkaying Nano assault I must admit xD! .

Nintendo land – I was amazed at it when I first got my Wiiu but I didn’t go deep into it. Just played a bit of multiplayer and stuff like that…. Now I have put 36 hours into the game! It’s a lot deeper than it appears. Zelda battle quest , Metroid blast and Pikmin adventure can offer 3-5 hours + each. And some of the other game will have you coming back for more and more and more like Takamaru’s Ninja castle and Donkey kongs crash course.

I can’t praise this game enough really. My ONLY problems with the game are A – You should be able to see or invite other miis to run around your park and play say 2-3 attractions that were designed with online in mind.
B – Where the fuck is some of the franchises like Pokemon , Starfox , Kirby ? They were keen to put Octopus dance but not a some of those franchises ?

The game looks amazing , it’s like the perfect looking Mii game.. All the shadows are perfect , the anti aliasing is amazing , the reflections , the lighting etc. And it runs 60FPS , two screens at once .

I would give the game an 8.5+/10 . It’s my favorite launch title come to think of it….

      6. Then theres all the eShop games, like The Cave, Trine 2, Mighty Switch Force (which im holding out on getting for my 3DS), Chasing Aurora.

Im glad WiiU has so many local co-op games, by favourite gaming memories are from sitting down with my 2 brothers and my friends and playing a game.

      7. Yes indeedy! Trine 2 directors cut is awesome on Wiiu. So is nano assault neo ! the whole Dual screen coop thing really floats my boat.

  4. I have always wanted to like Lego games, but have had trouble getting into them.
(I did play Starwars sega for a while)

This game has the added detail and polish to create the strong alure needed to finish pulling me in.

I am 81% sure I will get this game.

  5. Great game. Is there a way to write the developers of Lego city under cover, so as we request off screen play? With the addition of that, it will be a day one purchase for myself. Let’s petition them to add offscreen play. This is one petition that will be more than worthwhile. I also assume DLC is in this games future.

    1. I doubt they are going to be able to add a feature like that when its going to be out next month because a couple people on the internet sign a petition.. lol.

      1. A month is more than enough for them to add they much needed offscreen feature to the game. You may laugh, but a little known Sir Isaac Newton changed science forever. The greatest scientist by the way. I shall send them an email or call them, laugh as you may at me lol.

      2. Not sure if you are serious or joking at that point, or even sane at all. So i’m going to assume the worst in writing this, and hope you’re not easily offended:

No, it definitly is not enough. Especially as, when its going to be released in a month, development has probably already ended by now, and the game is in the publishers hands to be pressed on discs and shipped worldwide.

even if that wasn’t the case and we’re talking about a month of development time, i doubt it would be doable this far into development. this is a feature that needs to be considered from day1 of development as it has deep influence on the core game mechanics and design.

so: either its in the game already, or it won’t ever be. and thats all there is to know.

      3. Am not easily offended. Though it would be nice if the add off screen play, that alone shall make this Lego game the best so far. Business logistics :).

  6. Looks really fun! I would definitely pick this up if I had a wii u, though as it stands, there still isn’t enough incentive for me to buy one…..yet

  7. Might pick this up, but i think a smarter idea, would be to wait for a review first, just incase, since i know lego games are usually a hit-or-miss. Reminds me of GTA and Simpsons Hit and Run, and i absolutely love expoloring the games…well..the simpsons worlds anyway, haha :P So i seriously cant wait. I hope there’s off screen compatibility, but that dosent really matter either way.
