Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate is being developed for both the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita. The game’s developer, Armature Studio, has revealed that Blackgate runs on a modified version of the Bluepoint Engine, which was used to create games like PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Both versions of the game will use the same engine, and according to Armature Studio’s technical director, Jack Mathews, neither of the two versions is a port of the other. The only dissimilarity between the two is a technological difference. The PlayStaion Vita version will have sharper graphics, whereas the Nintendo 3DS’ version will feature 3D effects. Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate is scheduled to launch on October 25th.

A great number of these were created by Nintendo. The rest were developed elsewhere first and then perfected by Nintendo and made viable to the consumer. NONE of these things were invented by Sony or Microsoft so of the three the Nintendo has proven for over 40 years to be the leader in video game innovation and they are STILL doing it. This isn’t an opinion. It is an irrefutable fact. History does not lie. Nintendo has stared down Atari, Coleco, Magnavox, Mattel, SNK, and Sega and they ALL got knocked down. It took two of the biggest multimedia conglomerations of all time (Sony and Microsoft) just to forge an actual THREAT to Nintendo and they only reason why either of their consoles took off is because to mistakes made by Nintendo (i.e. cartridges for the N64, 1.5GB discs and no online for the GameCube, etc.)
A new level of stupidity would have to be created in order to entertain the thought that Nintendo has made a lot of gimmicks and few innovations. Well don’t look now, because the PS3 or 360 controller in your hand has a lot of those ‘gimmicks’ built into them.
A nice list for me to debunk.
D-pad – no, directional buttons are not a product of Nintendo, they took past predecessors to this and just refined it into the + shape used today.
Face buttons in that arrangement – yes.
Wireless controllers – no, Atari namely had a prototype for such and the first third party wireless controller was from Acclaim.

Wii Remote = Image Senseing Technology
Datasofts LeStick = Basic Gyroscope Technology (Steel ball and magnetized triggers)

Nintendo Innovated by improving the motion sensing by using Image sensing Tech which uses a small light within the sensor bar and a small light within the Wii remote to track where or what rotation the Wii Remote is in. Sony improved upon the Wii Remote by using light sensing tech which the PlayStation Eye can pick up and in a 3D Space which meant that players can actually place the controller behind their back (as long as the PSEye can see the light) which is the same tech being used within the PS4 Dualshock 4.

A Gimmick would be something like the Power Glove and R.O.B for NES. Innovation would be the Wii U Gamepad, NES Controller, SNES Controller and Wii Remote which brings a whole new way to play games.

If a gimmick is done well its considered an innovation. Also, you are forgetting the Kinect for the Xbox 360, that was a HUGE mistake on Microsoft’s behalf.

Yes but its only out selling the Wii U in Japan. North America, Europe and the UK the sales of the PlayStation Vita are lower than the Wii U’s sales so really it is a dying system.
I have a Vita and I’m loving it but sadly I don’t think it will last much longer if it keeps up the sales that its doing at the moment, even if the PS4 is released.
I would getting a vita but everytime sony gets me a bit of hope they do something realy stupid. Marketing it has a ps4 add has put a nail in the coffing for me.
Wii U is definitely not outselling the Vita in the UK. You’d make more sense if you said Europe, but no it’s not. Even Vita software sells more than Wii U software.

yes im not being biased, the vita sucks, so did the wii, the thing that the wii had was some great games though. it had like 20 good games, with like 10 of them being really good, and others still good but nothing too special. it still was a horrible console though. the gamecube to me was better but not by a whole lot either. im just being honest here.

If the rumor that appeared today is true that the PS4 will retail for $499 it isn’t a stretch. I think it’s probably the best price that Sony could reasonably offer for the PS4, but 500 bucks is 500 bucks. That’s not including the games, controllers, and other accessories. You are looking at dropping $600+ dollars on launch day.

I think this is good for Vita. Finally somone is treating it like what it is, a HANDHELD. You would think after all the other times Nintendo completely dominated the handheld market, competitors would finally get through their thick heads that a “home console on the go” doesn’t sell. I’m not saying the game will be horrible I want it to be awesome, I’m just saying we can’t rely on dev’s past products anymore, anyone might make a crappy game and the least expected developer might come with the best in years, who knows, “could be” is not enough for me xD and even if the console versions are great games, sadly the portable versions almost never got the same love, if I’m getting this is for WiiU.
Better to be a 3ds port than a ds one.

No falco, there will be fans wanting him back, Ike has alot of support for returning veterens. Lucario might stay as well. Pokemon trainer might be iffy, but most fans liked the original, but he could replaced with different gen pokemon trainer.
Mewtwo and Roy are most requested in the world (esp. in japan) to return for the fourth iteration . So Roy should somehow appear.Those two most likely of the forbidden 7, there could add dixe as well. Megaman is most requestion newcomer, however capcom should try to listen to their fans, if not we probably might not have one.
I can see Toad or Bowser jr. appear over waluigi. waluigi does have a chance. I like ghirahim as well but he could be have similar situtation like sheik at the time in melee but more likely with impa or toon zelda.
