Super Smash Bros creator Masahiro Sakurai has confirmed via Twitter that he will be attending E3 next week in Los Angeles. Sakurai says that he will miss the Smash Bros trailer, which will be shown during the Nintendo Direct on the 11th, due to him being in the US.
I’ll probably be in the U.S.A. [when the trailer is shown]. Off to E3.

There’s two versions, one for the Wii U and one for the 3DS. Each will most likely have some exclusive features like stages and characters.

Could be possible. Im sure a lot of people would tell you its too early to have a playable demo on the floor but heading out to e3 to show off footage at a direct that isnt live seems like you could be right.

Did you notice he said it would be a “trailer?” Before we didn’t know what it was going to be, screens, teasers, or anything inbetween. Now that we know its a trailer, it will be even better!! I always thought it would be funny if the footage they show is just Mario vs. Bowser on a wii stage. That would reveal A LOT. Haha. It’ll be good!

I assume they said “screens” because they weren’t sure what they would have ready in time, screens was just a safe thing to say instead of saying “we’ll have a trailer”, and then end up not having them. Which is promising, because that means development is on, or even ahead of schedule
Exactly my thoughts. Imagine if they said they’d have a trailer or demo and then showed up to E3 without it? It would be utter chaos. There’d be a riot haha.

I agree with all but I don’t think Zael will be in. He’s only had one game and he’s not well known. More importantly, there are already too many characters who fight with swords. You got Link and his clone, Meta Knight, Marth and now Chrom, Shulk who HAS to be a newcomer, if Ganon stays he NEEDS to fight with his sword, and Demise will if he’s in it.
I want Deoxys but they’ll most likely promote gen V or VI with Zoroark or a new Pokémon, respectively.
