Namco Bandai’s new teaser site just opened up some extra information for us to speculate over. The teaser website – which you can see here – had previously told us that the new title would be a game for the Nintendo 3DS, and gave us the letter ‘V’ and ‘F’ followed by the numbers ‘20’ and ‘30’. Now, Namco Bandai has dropped further clues as to what the game could be – ‘V’ is followed by 20th Anniversary and ‘F’ by 30th Anniversary. It’s quite clear at this point that the 30th Anniversary the company is referring to is the Famicom, which is currently celebrating 30 years. However, the ‘V’ takes a little more digging, Siliconera reports that it could be to do with Japanese Publication V Jump, which is celebrating its 20th year after it began publishing in 1993.
Further reports suggest that this new title could be an homage to a manga crossover game Bandai published back in the Famicom era – Famicom Jump: Hero Retsuden. With just under 3 days to go until the big reveal, it won’t be long until we discover what Namco Bandai are teasing – let us know what you think in the comments below.
