        1. What platform is this on though? The gfx and gameplay, textures, camera etc seem to have a huge advantage compared to AC3(i own it on wii U). maube its Ps4 or pc so that they give this impression for all platforms?

    1. Right on with this… is it me, or is the gameplay/controls terrible???
Great concept, crappy game… I still can’t get over how much better the controls are for Arkham City, where as a very similar game feels so stiff and awkward

      1. That is what I thought! I played Arkham City (which I loved) and then AC3… to me it was such a disappointment!

        1. Too much of a dissappointment really… it got slow and silly and frankly it was smooth enough gameplay wise to garner much more than just a little play out of me

    2. Let’s judge the whole franchise, because that one game was terrible, right?
Paper Mario: Sticker Star is a disappointment so is the whole franchise bad?

      1. Well to be fair, Brotherhood and Revelations were also terrible. So, three terrible games in a franchise that has 5 main installments, isn’t great.

    3. You shouldn’t have picked up the worst AC game then… If you have an Xbox 360 with gold, you can get AC2 for free and you should try that as this game looks a lot more like that.

  1. The title should say, “Assassin’s Creed 4:” and not, “Assassin’s Creed 4-”

It makes it look like it’s saying, “4 – 13 minutes of Caribbean open world gameplay.”

    Just a small note. =p

The gameplay looks great. This is probably the deepest most expansive gameplay the series has featured so far; but I would have probably enjoyed it more if it didn’t carry the burden of the Assassin’s Creed lore. It’s getting a bit tedious, convoluted, and tiresome now. I would have preferred and original, “Black Flags” game to “Assassin’s Creed IV.”

    1. A new and original “Black Flag” IP would’ve been sweet. I haven’t even played an AC game and it feels tired and used.

    2. thats what i thought! well at first i thought the article was confirming assassins creed games 4-13, like what a surprise

  2. Its impressive… since I’ve never seen footage and my expectations were pretty low. Ubisoft can make a game for all systems without crying- What’s wrong with everyone else? This industry’s gotten so dirty since I started gaming.

  3. I love Pirates and I LOVED the Navel battles in AC3. I would have been estatic for a game focused in Navel battles.

  4. Wow, it looks fantastic Ubisoft. Very well done. From the video it seems you have really nailed it, congrats.

  5. Treasure Island, with Long John Silver and young mister quinn, made by Monolith, Retro, Atlus and Platinum games for the WiiU would be a great Pirate game. With the dynamics, and added nostalgic music of the commodore C16 game.

  6. China has lifted it’s 12 year ban on foreign game consoles. They want systems with family and nation friendly content. Advantage Nintendo. All the company from Kyoto had to do is release a cheap WiiU with super Mario brothers 3D world. Everything is wonderful for our favorite company from Kyoto. What a year for the 3DS and WiiU :). China here we cometh.

    1. They didn’t lift anything! Consoles are only allowed to be sold in a small zone which’s name I forgot. Also the government is rating/testing the games. If one game for example a shooter or so makes something Chinese look bad then the ban will be back as a whole.

“Ya know, da government’s doin babysittin’ n’shit man!”

  7. not gonna lie this took me by surprise looks amazing and huge!!! hopefully there is online free roaming ! so i can roam with my friends online n explore this huge world !

  8. I only fear for this game because ubisoft themselves said this won’t be as big as AC3 (which isn’t the best game in the series.

  9. Man! These Assassins Creed games always look so breathtaking and beautiful. I’ve never played any, but I’m always finding myself pulled in with the beautiful scenery and locations. If I had a Wii U, I would definitely buy this game. And that’s saying a lot for a person like me, who usually only likes the first-party games. Very well done, Ubi-Soft.

    1. Wii U version won’t look like that. PC will probably get the “best” looks followed by PS4 followed by Xdone then there’s a big gap, after the gap there’s the Wii U, then there’s a small gap and after the small gap there will be the 360 and the PS3.

  10. I’ll get it on Wii U in a year’s time when it’s really cheap. 3rd Party titles like this don’t really hold up their price for too long.
