Batman Arkham Origins producer Guillaume Voghel has revealed that the story mode in Batman’s latest adventure will be around 12 hours long. However, Voghel says that if you want to 100 percent complete the game you will be playing a lot longer. He also mentioned that once you’ve finished the game players will be able to embark on New Game Plus which is apparently quite a bit more difficult than the default difficulty setting.
“The main narrative arc and side missions last about 12 hours, and then you have all the collectibles. To get 100 per cent of that will take much, much longer. We have a new difficulty level, New Game Plus is coming back – that’s really difficult – and when you’re done with that there’s I Am The Night mode – which is no saves and one life.”

I’m playing twilight princess again and i’m currently at 20 hours, don’t have much hopes for third parties to make great storybased games any more.

12 hours is if youre running trought the game without collecting stuff, exploring, side missions, etc etc.
There are shorter games (such as Call of Duty series; such games usually have 5-7 hour campaigns).

I think you mean Microsoft because at the moment they are having trouble actually getting the any game to run at 1080p at 60fps meaning it could mean that the Xbox One will die faster than the Dreamcast. Wii U and PS4 aren’t having any trouble reaching that res and frame rate

Beat by competition is not the same has making deals that put those companies at risk of bankrupt. Midway, akklaim,thq, and factor 5 and others had beneficials deals that even if they not sold Nintendo took care of them.

I can’t believe I hearing so much smack about the games length by Nintendo fans. 12 hours is pretty sufficient with the added New game plus and the collectables which is addicting. Its about the same length as Arkham City and that game is amazing, I ended up clocking in more than 50 hours.

This is the reason why most people pirate games! Poor gameplay (not very innovative), overall short, just an expansion of the past games, for a hefty amount of money (full priced game) – I can see why this isn’t going on the next gen consoles. Wouldn’t be surprised if it will use x1 DVD single layer (4.7Gb) with the lack of data they will implement for a short story. If you guys want to try it on pc… download it as a torrent, wait till it comes out 75% off on steam and buy it that way. WB don’t deserve profits after stealing an awesome franchise from an admirable company like Rocksteady.

Uh 12 hours? It only took me 5 hours to beat main story. And yes I do play on hard.
Batman Arkham Asylum 4 hours. And Arkham City was the shortest of them all: 3 hours.
Side quests are an additional 30 minutes or an hour so how can you say it takes 12+ hours
The no saves difficulty was fun actually.
Lol and Super Mario Brothers (Any of them) doesnt take long either. It only takes 5-6 hours.
Just got to know how to play and know what to do immediately. Thats all it takes.
