We recently reported that the new Pokemon Bank and Poke Transfer apps will be available on December 27th, providing gamers with the opportunity to move Pokemon from old games like Black and White into the new Pokemon X & Y. It has now come to light that once gamers move Pokemon into the transfer app in order to get them into X & Y, these Pokemon cannot be returned to the old game from which they were transferred. An FAQ section on the Pokemon X & Y website addresses numerous questions about the new Bank and Transfer apps, and one of the questions addresses this concern. Here is the full text:
“If I transfer my Pokémon from Pokémon Black, Pokémon White, Pokémon Black 2, or Pokémon White 2 to Pokémon Bank using Poké Transporter, can I later move them back to those games?”
“No, that is not possible. Pokémon moved to your online Boxes using Poké Transportercannot be returned to Pokémon Black, Pokémon White, Pokémon Black 2, or Pokémon White 2.”

Yeah, this was already reported back then. lol. I don’t know anybody who actually wants to return them back to their old games anyway. Honestly, I was gonna trade in my Black, and White 2 before I found out it wasn’t as necessary, the Pokemon Transfer/Bank wouldn’t be released till December 27th, and I wasn’t gonna get much back for it.

Who cares? You got to play with you’re Pokemon, and X & Y is probably much better than Black ‘n White anyway, so why bother go back?

That’s fine. Intergenerational transfers have been a one-way trip for years. It has always given me a good incentive to play through older games in the series, transfer my Pokemon and start all over again. I swear I can play through Emerald over and over again without getting tired of it.
I know people are going to in some way bring hacked pokemon to x and y. What if you bring a shiny caught from dpp or hg ss with action replay or a level 100 pkmn how is it going to detect it?

The bank makes it easier. You would need to capture one for each Pokemon you want to transfer “if” possible.
I can just reset the game, if there’s no need of a national dex required :)
You need Pokemon Bank for Poke Transporter to work.

First off not only have we not been able to go backwards since the second generation ended, but Nintendo stated this on the Pokemon Direct in which they revealed this. This is extremely old news.
