Yes remastered version would be awesome but they are so lazy on doing a real Chrono Trigger hd. They just port the game and called it hd.
I think that they are confused with what kind of version we gamers want. A dragon quest type Chrono trigger (wich would be great) but it wouldn’t feel the same.
What they should do is keep the 2d/3d bit style and update the game with prettier looks like the youtube video:

Just let Square Enix die, and give it Atlus to make, or the guys who made Ni No Kuni (that might be Atlus too).
Ni No Kuni is the best example i can think of in terms of how i want it to look, but obviously is the art style of Chrono Trigger (Akira Toriyama), but then again, Chrorno Trigger works perfect in 2D/top down view because the position based battle system.
Maybe give it to someone like Intelligent Systems, they do a good job with Fire Emblem in terms of great looking top down games
I prefer the 2d. The ni no kuni’s overworld would look great but im not sure Chrono trigger would work in 3d but its a cool idea

Abuse is a bit of an exagguration.
Alot of the time microtransactions don’t actually affect the game you’re buying, not to mention there are tons of microtransaction is nearly all games these days, colours/costume in fighting game, bonus weapons in games, character/weapon skins, shortcut levelling up in multiplayer games, they all exist, but mostly as bonus content. Forza has microtransaction that are designed for the lazy and stupid. Frankly, i have no care for the lazy and stupid, and they can get ripped off, i don’t give a fuck, their problem, but occasions like this are almost always there to catch out the lazy and stupid. Just playing the game normally, like a regular human being unlocks stuff.
I’ve seen few occasions where a games natural progress system has been affected by microtransactions, the main one because Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer, which took naturally 30 minutes to beat a game, that got you 2/3 of the way to the best upgrade pack, which always has random stuff in it.
Everyones just making a big deal out of it because it’s Xbox One…which, honestly, shouldn’t matter anymore, seeing as they fixed all the bullshit. Still behind Sony, but regardless, no “major” or even significant problems with the console. Just fanboys getting loud mouthed and bitchy about their preferences like a bunch of morons.
