Not really. Just a few vocal trolls on the web who have no concept of reality outside of their video games. EA’s key franchises wouldn’t go on to sell record breaking numbers year over year if gamers as a whole really hated them.
Well, their services and products are still usable, not to mention fundamental to every day life. People get screwed over by them, but what they offer is still necessary to living. EA’s products, on the other hand, are not vital to every day life, so getting screwed over by something like that is just very sad, for both us and EA.

I hope they turn themselves around, as a publisher. 2007-2011 EA was awesome, Dead Space, Dragon Age, earlier Battlefield games, Burnout Paradise, Mirror’s Edge, and then Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 probably being one of my favourite games ever. I think they even published the Valve games we got on console like Orange Box.
Either way, looking forward to Dragon Age 3 and Titanfall, as well as Mass Effect 4.
Honestly for a company that gets alot of flack for being “the dude-brah company”, they’re pretty progressive. Female lead characters, open to gay/lesbian choices in games ect and then in terms of games they made RPG, space RPG, survival/action horror, 1st person platformer.
Sure, they’ve be assholes the last few year but give them credit where it’s due, we all benefited from when they were doing good work, no reason why we shouldn’t want that again.
