The folks at Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin’? Recently won a contest with Nintendo of America where they collaborated on a video with RocketJump which is based around Retro Studios, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. The video is a perfect case in point of not trying to recreate Nintendo themed shenanigans in the real world. Enjoy.

The people in the video aren’t funny -_- their jokes are poorly executed.
Still better than the crappy commercials Nintendo has been pushing on tv. Imagine this with a slightly bigger budget and production values and it would be a hit on tv. Nintendo needs to get edgy.. especially compared to the amazing commercials Sony has had. “Guy:Your grandma pushed a hoop with a stick. Boy:But- Guy:With a STICK!”

Nintendo would’ve wasted that money making more Wii Us if Rocketjump and FreddieW didn’t relieve them of it.
I’d say it was a poor advertisement that failed to convince me to buy this game, but there is no advertisement they can possibly come up with that would convince me to buy this game, I’m still upset this turned out to be the game and I will never spend money on it. I hope this game sells poorly just so retro studios knows that this is not a game that we all wanted.
