Shadow Of Eternals Isn’t Dead, But Things Are Progressing Slowly

Phil Haymes, the social manager at Precursor Games, has revealed via the official forums that Shadow of the Eternals is alive and well, but gamers shouldn’t expect any exciting information anytime soon. Haymes says that the team are still assessing their options.

“We’ll be continuing to upgrade and keep the forums running and we’re taking a look at where the SOTE project is at, potential options and directions for the future as well as going over lessons learned from the campaigns.”

“We very much intend to keep the project alive and get back to production but please understand that there probably won’t be any major news or update for a while yet. We’ve got a lot of work ahead to understand the options available to us going forward and to do the best thing by the game.”

Thanks, Brandon

      1. I heard Wii U was priority and PS4 was if they reached enough demand and Xbox One was a no-go…. Seeing as there is not much demand, I figured the Wii U version was the only one that would ever come out.

To me it doesn’t make sense to make a spiritual successor to a game EXCLUSIVE to the Gamecube on a rival console…. doesn’t make sense one bit.

  2. This is yet another example of why Iwata needs to step down. Why the hell is Nintendo not supporting the production of this game. Its clear Nintendo fans what a sequel to Eternal Dark (that includes me). They should be funding/lending their talent to make this game better and ready for 2014/15.

    1. Well to be honest this game will not move consoles. Iwata is focusing on how to sell more Wii U’s not on how to make customers who already bought a Wii U happy… We are second priority unfortunately… we wouldn’t be if the Wii U was a success.

I’m just gonna get ready for Nintendo’s NEXT great console, the Wii U’s successor. I’m SURE thaaaaat one will be a hit now that Nintendo has realized where they went sooo wrong. For now, I got an HD Gamecube to keep me busy ;D

      1. get the wii u……….unless that’s what you meant by HD gamecube.

its still very very posiible that sales wil turn around.

    2. Our empire does not support a game that is also intended to be released for our rivals, The Sony Dominion and the PC “Master Race”…

  3. Everything I’ve seen on this game was ripped directly out of Eternal Darkness. I thought Eternal Darkness was a Nintendo IP. If so, this game better not be a cheap stab to make an HD Eternal Darkness for multiplat. That’s pretty much stealing Nintendo’s IP.

  4. iwata here you go. you want Nintendo to regain video game dominance here you go invest that money in this game and I can assure you the out come will be good.

  6. When did the number of sales of a system become so important to gamers seriously guys! you guys need to get a life if you enjoy the Wiiu enjoy the wiiU if you want a play station four get a PlayStation four if you want to do with Microsoft an Xbox one in their nonsense get Xbox one play the games that’s available it’s that simple. I remember the good old days when I was playing SNES and I was just worried about the next game That came out I don’t give two shits about how much a company profits from releasing the system. The money isn’t going into my pocket or yours.

  7. I’ve been exploring for a little for any high-quality articles or weblog posts on this kind of area . Exploring in Yahoo I at last stumbled upon this web site. Reading this information So i am happy to exhibit that I’ve a very just right uncanny feeling I found out just what I needed. I such a lot without a doubt will make certain to do not forget this website and provides it a look on a relentless basis.
