UK Retailer Argos Selling Wii U Premium Pack With Nintendo Land For £179.99

Update: Amazon UK has matched Argos on the same bundle at £179.99.

UK retailer Argos is currently selling the Wii U 32GB premium model – which comes packaged with Nintendo Land – for a cracking £179.99 down from its RRP £299.99. Available for home delivery and in store, the Wii U premium pack is oddly reduced to the same price as the basic pack, so if you’ve yet to pick up Nintendo’s home console, make sure you take advantage of the offer.

When UK supermarkets and retailers cut the price of Wii U consoles last year, Argos soon followed suit with the £199.99 price tag. Other Wii U premium packs, such as Mario and Luigi and LEGO City Undercover, are still priced at £249.99 at the UK retailer, however. Argos has not detailed how long the price drop will last, or if it’s a permanent reduction, but if you’re looking for a January bargain, this could be right up your street.

  1. I really hope they show some amazing titles at this weeks direct (the likely direct this friday) like X, Yarn Yoshi, Maybe Miyamoto’s new I.P, and stuff that will appeal to a variety of audiences. And a smash bros announcement this week. It’ll be really cool when there is a time when retailers aren’t slashing the price every 2 weeks.

      1. I doubt they’d wait till E3 to show titles like Yarn Yoshi and a bit more of X. The E3 one would cover things like the new Zelda. And Nintendo really need to get themselves out of this situation, waiting till June would be a terrible decision to talk about a few games.

  3. Only problem is, Nintendo are only going to be losing more money this way. However considering the company are in a bit of a state with it not doing very well, I guess this is the only option they have going.

If you think about it £180 is the same price Wii was going for when it first launched.
