Activision has today announced that the Call of Duty: Ghosts Onslaught downloadable content which launched first on Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and launches February 27th on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC, won’t be coming to the Wii U. Activision has only listed the release of the first batch of DLC for the platforms mentioned above. Onslaught features four new multiplayer maps and another map for the Extinction mode.

I try to buy 3rd party for my Wii U but I will NEVER buy COD for ANY system, and shouldn’t have to just to justify having other 3rd parties on board. Everyone knows COD is one of the worst series the last 5 years at least, not my fault it’s the big mainstream thing. If Destiny came to Wii U I would possibly get that. I got Need for Speed though I played it once, just to support them. I also bought Tekken Tag Tournament, and sadly haven’t played that much either. Also bought Darksiders 2 but haven’t played it once, cause I haven’t played the first yet. So I have bought 3rd parties even though I knew I wouldn’t necessarily get around to playing them for a while, just to support them and Nintendo having 3rd party. Got Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, which is exclusive so not sure if that counts, Lego City Undercover (beat it 100% and loved it). There are some games coming out for xbone and ps4 that I would get if they came to Wii U, but I am not buying those systems. I hate microsoft, and I like Sony and have a PS3 but it’s pretty obvious 3rd parties don’t like Nintendo and bash the system. Maybe that’s partly Nintendo’s fault, but I am still gonna support them. If Nintendo stops making games, I’ll stop playing games, simple as that. Ps4 and xbone have hardly any games just like Wii U but because they are hyped as the cool adult systems, people buy into it. I’m not. Nintendo makes several 1st party games a year. What other developer can say they make several games in a year? Rockstar makes GTA 5, now whats the next game they are gonna make, and how long before it’s released? But nobody gets on them. I know gta 5 took a long time to make, but people who have played it say it’s a fun game and got lots of stuff to do, but it isn’t game of the year material. Naughty Dog makes a game like every 2 years, but nobody says anything. Nintendo released Pikmin 3, New Super Mario U, Nintendoland, Super Mario 3D World, Wind Waker HD, Wii Party U (nothing special but a game none the less), Wii Fit U (same thing), and New Super Luigi all in a year, and that doesn’t include all the 3DS games they also made in that year, yet people get on them for not making enough games. Granted there could have been better choices, but these games still take time to make, and they have Mario Kart 8 coming soon as well as Smash Brothers, Yarn Yoshi, the Zelda they are working on, among others. That’s a pretty big list of games from one developer. Everyone expects so much more from them than anyone else. They aren’t perfect and are bound to make mistakes, lots of them. I think I’ve gotten off topic a little here, so I’m just gonna stop myself from going further off topic.

Not a hater, but they haven’t even released a screen shot, and I read that article when it was fresh on Wii U daily. It was just a rumor, which hopefully some of it is true, but the 2014 part, I highly doubt. If it somehow does, I’ll pay up. But don’t get your hopes to high. Especially with Hyrulian Warriors coming out, another tide-me-over Zelda till the real deal comes out.

Which the low sales are deliberate on Activisions part. Most of Nintendo COD gamers saw this coming when the site removed the DLC info for Wii U version just like Black Ops 2 did plus they shipped far less copies of the game to further excuse their BS to cut support. DLC is more than possible and if Wii U COD DLC happened, of course people would realize that support is there and will attract more sales.

I agree, Mario games are a lot more unique than the annual COD. Mario does need a break though, but I doubt we will see one for at least another year where as they have already announced the annual COD for this year.

Saw this coming from a mile away and it is one of the main reasons I skipped getting Ghosts for my Wii U. That and the fact it’s just CoD and I already have Blops 2 so whatever. I would much rather have just about any other online FPS at this point.
I’ve reached the point where I just don’t even care for these fools anymore. It sucks in the big picture because these things are what’s holding the WIi U back despite the fact that the shouldn’t. It doesn’t bother me personally though, I only have so much money and the Wii U will get enough games this year to empty my pockets on no matter what.
