Nintendo has released a new video for the Nintendo 3DS in which the Activity Log application is spotlighted. The app enables 3DS owners to check out how many steps they took while walking around with their handheld. It also allows players to keep track of the time they spent on software titles, including Nintendo DS games and Nintendo eShop downloads.

Quick question, Nintendo said they’ll include DS games for the Wii U… When are they adding GBA games for the Wii U virtual console? They promised quite some time ago.
No? In fact they said they had no plans to do them at all. Which is sad

I knew all about this application day 2 of owning my 3DS back in 2011…
Unless some people have yet to own a 3/2DS and see this video first, owners should’ve come acrossed this since the first day or first few days of owning one. I’m pretty sure they had a video about this back then too just not exactly the same, probably more clearer detail on the subject.
I have over 6,000,000 steps from bussing tables with it in my pocket. Wish I could post it on miiverse.

This may interest parents I guess. I mean, they may want to check their kids playtimes.
This video is long overdue, but they’ve probably released it to try and accomplish two things:
1. Increase StreetPass use in North America
2. Iwata’s “Quality of Life” bit. [OOH LOOK MANY STEPS].
I, for one, actually check it to get a gauge how long I play certain games (i.e. I spend on average about 30-40 minutes playing Luigi’s Mansion & Mario Kart, but only about 10-15 minutes for Animal Crossing). I also check date I last played – all about trying to manage so many games at once.
Last time checked it id spent 100+ hours on Mario kart 7 and 250+ hours on Pokemon y. Time well spent if you ask me 😃
