We’ve yet to find out how much Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS sold.

    1. “Only”… this sites bloggers try to squeeze a pot shot into every article headline don’t they? Still positive numbers and a considerable jump over last years numbers.

      1. Actually MS and Sony fanboys don’t care for Nintendo and their garbage they play on their consoles who have much better games

        1. And yet I still see plenty of graphic/specs ass kissing losers coming online to shit on it like if its that terrible.

At least it doesnt blow up trying to be a $500 Kinect-forced Betamax tryhard or an overrated console people kill for and barely has any good games ATM.

      1. How low does a system have to sell to be considered a failure? like 10-20 million? I’m sure Wii U will pass that, but I’ll be to busy playing Mario Kart and Smash Bros to care lol.

    1. so there you have success, the Wii U is sold well, and by the forecasts to the Wii U should sell the 1.0 K Since PS4/Xbox1 so big hits, pathetic is that they are so poorly marketed compared to the Wii U! I think the Wii U still has hanging, as it relates to all want to crush! ;-)

    2. Considering their was no major game out this month, those numbers are decent, a little less then half, but a lot of people are still waiting for smash brothers or Mario kart

      1. Samuel Jackson’s Nick Fury: 10 bucks says you’re wrong.

With several to dozen big titles coming for Wii U, it’ll jump pass 10 million by the end of this summer.

      2. You calling it is pretty meaningless. You going to come back and post when your wrong? MK and Smash will easily lift the system above 10m

    1. 82,5K is actually pretty good because it’s over 1 year old console. There is big difference with price with Xbox 360 so Nintendo can actually be very proud of those numbers.

  1. Considering it sold like 45K same time last year, I would think this is a pretty good increase. Not stellar, but better than nothing. The system probably sold 125K worldwide, which is not disastrous. Still, it will need to do a lot better than that. Wasn’t their forecast for 2.8M consoles in 2013-2014 fiscal year? And they had somewhere around 2.5M at the end of 2013? They might hit their projection, if just scraping by.

  2. if wii u was next gen and had all the games i wanted it could have been awesome. when i got my wii u i thought it was going to soo cool and awesome. the wii u horrible, mii verse is trash and there no games like gta v or naruto. wtf nintendo

    1. Like all of the hypocrite dumbasses I hear saying they won’t buy anything Nintendo but also wish for their games on other consoles, here’s a better idea: JUST BUY THE FUCKING CONSOLES FOR THE GAMES YOU WANT!

Nothing’s stopping anyone from owning more than one unless you’re lower class, poor or just a picky bastard blindly following the sheep herd like a dog.

    1. If it becomes a huge hit, they’ll start appreciating Wii U far more than yesterday and let’s see if the haters still say it sucks or Nintendo is done for.

  3. About a third of the others…that’s actually not bad, considering how much better they’re supposed to be doing and how much newer they are.

    1. We’ll see. Once Mario Kart 8 lands and becomes a huge hit, all haters and idiots will eat their own shit and live to regret underestimating Nintendo..for the billionth time.

    1. Compare to last year, its a good sign of improvement and its only gonna get better. Wii U won’t end up like the GameCube by sales. Trust me.

    1. If it wasn’t for Sony & MS’s other business sectors, they’d be in the same boat, especially selling their hardware @ a loss.

    2. If it wasn’t for Sony & MS’s other business sectors, they’d be in the same boat, especially selling their hardware @ a loss. Wonder what would’ve happened if the original PS & Xbox were available for a profitable MSRP?

        1. Yeah…sorry ’bout that. Ironically, I’d gotten a msg saying my initial post was a duplicate; go figure. But it was a chance to add a bit more. Anyway, I think both our points ard valid, there’s just a slight difference in perspective.

          1. All I’m really saying is that, since the Wii U isn’t doing so hot, that they should be bringing more games to the Wii U instead of focusing so hard on the 3DS.

Hell, the 3DS is already a success, focus on the main aspect of your company.

    3. And if it wasn’t for Nintendo back in the 80s, the gaming market would be extinct and there will be no Sega, no PlayStation, no nothing.

      So you’re welcome, fanboy.

      1. That has nothing to do with what’s happening now. The Wii U isn’t doing so hot, learn to accept it.

BTW, do you always throw out the ‘fanboy’ card when someone writes something that doesn’t line up EXACTLY with your single-minded, blind love for a multi-national corporation that doesn’t care about you? I feel sorry for you.

    1. That’s practically double of its sales from last year. So its a good sign the Wii U still has hope and games left, something two of the big boy PC wannabe consoles don’t have..at least not yet.

  4. Some people seem to not know how to use the term “Fail” The only way the Wii U will “Fail” is if at the end of the gen no profit is made or they are in the red. As long as Nintendo makes just $1 profit for the entire gen that’s not technically a fail lol. It will be a Gamecube situation. A profit will be had just as much as Nintendo wanted.

  5. i was playing a ps4 today for the first time and didn’t notice anything different from the ps3 like what does it do that the ps3 can’t

  6. I wish Nintendo would “please understand” that their business model is no longer working and thinking that it would be dishonorable to change their ways is ridiculous. They need to change their ways in order to survive.

    1. By doing what? Exactly what the competition is doing (x86 program, high end specs and storage and repetitive realistic games) thus almost eliminating any chance for proper market competition?

      No thanks.

  7. Hahahahahahahahaha weak u still outsold buy the awesome 10 year old xbox 360 that’s too awesome for nintenyear olds to fathom the actual awesomeness it has lol

Than u.gave the baby ninty fanboy damage controlling lol weak sales of the Pii U lol hahahaha gimme a break, PS360 have sold more then Wii U individually since November 2012

Tell me I’m lying lil babies

    Rip Weak U

Watch ps4 sales spike more than ever when infamous 2nd son drops

    Wii Over U

    1. I will agree that Wii U sales have been bad. Not bad enough to kill it quite yet, but bad nevertheless. And I would hope gamers around 19 would be buying 360’s and PS3’s still, unless you think that children are still getting them as gifts instead of PS4’s or Xbox One’s. Or perhaps you think the PS4 and Xbox One are not a thing parents should buy with their paychecks, or adults over 25 simply don’t want to upgrade? Regardless, if PS3’s and 360’s are selling so well, why should owners of those go out and buy PS4’s and Xbox One’s? And if I am correct, I doubt PS4 will spike up too much when the next Infamous releases, whether it be a blockbuster game or not won’t matter much. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong anywhere in my hypothesis.

    2. Your trolling skills needs work. This has been done since 7 years ago. You’re so late on originality just like your precious Xbox forcing a gimmick camera that failed twice.

  8. much too low! if it goes on this way than wiiu will only sell around 1,5 mio units in the us this year – and to be honest, this is everything else but good!

but i also don’t know what nintendo could do to improve sales. they’re already releasing good games, the price is ok, they’re making some advertising.
i think the biggest point here is that there are hardly no adult-core-games on the machine anymore.

  9. I think 100 K units per month in each region is a good sale. below is a fail.

It still amaze me how people can afford a £400+ console. Recession does not exist in some countries by all account. Anyway quiet expensive for a blu ray player if you ask.

I think Nintendo taking the right approach by ignoring 3rd party and focus on 2nd party and indie developer. It’s a long game and they play it patient but I think they going to be successful in the long run.

    1. Nintendo isn’t “ignoring” third parties, the third parties bailed on Nintendo for the most part. Do you really think Nintendo would say no to Rockstar making a Wii U port of GTA5 or Red Dead Redemption even?

      1. Yup. They pretty much bailed because of the competition brainwashing the consumers to think high end graphics is the best way to go to enjoy gaming when its just a shallow marketing ploy and Nintendo of all companies takes an undeserving negative hit because the industry and consumers are only gaming for selfish reasons.

      2. You are right but it’s not what I really meant by ignoring them. As you know EA, like so many kind of sh*t on Nintendo via the press and Nintendo so far did not react officially (here what I mean by ignoring third party). And to be fair Nintendo does not run after them either or play dirty like MS.

  10. This is good, but people REALLY need to stop relying on Mario Kart and Smash for console sales. What happens if those games don’t even move sales like everyone is predicting. Sales don’t matter just the games, and just about everyone gets a Wii U for first parties so don’t even say “third party devs won’t want to develop for us.” (They don’t want to do that anyway.) I’m excited for those two games, because I want to play them, not in hopes that they’ll move sales.

    1. And the 3rd party thinks that’s a valid excuse to gimp ports for Nintendo? They’re doing it as their ticket to push themselves away without saying a word to piss people off which is what they’re trying to avoid.
