More than 30 countries around the globe are set to host Pokémon National Championships over the next few months. With thousands of players attending on six different continents, competitive Pokémon is being showcased on a international scale. These tournaments also provide Pokémon X and Pokémon Y video game players and Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) players with an opportunity to earn an invitation to the 11th annual Pokémon World Championships in Washington, D.C.

- 2014 Pokémon Italian National Championships: May 31–June 1, 2014, in Milan, Italy

- 2014 Pokémon US National Championships: July 4-6, 2014, in Indianapolis, Indiana
The 2014 Pokémon World Championships venue has been revealed and will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., August 16-17, 2014. The convention center will be decked out with one-of-a-kind Pokémon paraphernalia for the thousands of players, fans, and families in attendance.
I’m just getting into competitive Pokemon. It’s pretty fun stuff and it’s interesting to see how you can shape up your team with different roles.
It gets boring when you realize everyone uses the same Pokemon.
I have to agree with you, about 80% uses the same Pokemon and tactics…
Which in turn means that it is a pretty inbalanced game…

Have you ever imagined playing an old classic that you loved and wanted it to be online to show off your skills or even play with friends and family that live to far away to play the game with them. Imagine Super Mario World with online and voice chat, Mario kart with online and voice chat or even super smash bros! from N64 with online multiplayer and voice chat the list can go on and on this can be something that I know will be a hit! We together can make this happen if we show nintendo that we really want this! This would be amazing!

Well, I bought both X & Y and after beating X I haven’t played anymore. I guess that if I played online I could get more enjoyment out of the games. I was disappointed when I learned that both X & Y are exactly the same game with only a few pokemon being “exclusive” to each version.
I never played pokemon before so thats why I was expecting two different games. LOL
