Nintendo Has Registered Various ‘Advance’ Trademarks In Japan

A NeoGAF member has discovered that Nintendo has registered a number of “Advance” trademarks in Japan. These include  “Advance”, “Advance Series”, “Advance Touch”, and “Advance Push”. All of these were registered by Nintendo on April 4th.

Thanks, Kyle

      1. This advance concept is very interesting indeed, Nintendo definitely has something up its sleeve. Things up ones sleeve can be a blessing as well as a curse so let’s not get too excited fellow Nintendo fans. For example, I often us the “up ones sleeve” concept at my place of employment which serves as a double conundrum if you will. Let me explain, I will usually position myself in front of Downs adult (Mongolians of unnatural decent) and entertain them that I have a treat of some sort “under ones sleeve”… As they examine and wait until they surge into a frantic panic making the groans of the “beast”… I slowly reveal my hand with at last, nothing inside. As they see this they look back at me with the little eye lids that they have and I begin to tell them they disgust me and it’s there fault nothing came from the sleeve. You really have to enjoy your work as I do. This folks is the trick Nintendo has been pulling on many of us… And yet we watch them oh so patiently, obedient, commanders awaiting orders some have become. And all with one thing I’m common. The proverbial “eye without eye lid”…

  1. 3ds advance?

    DS ADVACE?

    HDS ADVANCE?
    QOOOOOLLL???????

or is it advance wars for 3ds? ( idont think so….they would have trademarked the wars part too.)

    1. Moreso Wars than Advanced.

The Japanese names of the series is usually named after the system it was released (Famicon Wars, Game Boy Wars, Advanced Wars) or just Famicon Wars + something (Famicon Wars DS, Famicom Wars VS, etc), moreso the latter after the GBA ran through its lifetime.

    1. Nintendo should also sell a toy.
the R.O.B Advance. hell I would buy it if it came in a mini version.

  2. Half Life 3 confirmed.

Advance is an old trademark. ‘Series’, ‘touch’ and ‘push’ are new. 3 new trademarks.

Nintendo makes games. Half Life is also a game.

    Half Life 3 confirmed again.

  3. Howdy! I’m at work browsing your blog from my new iphone 3gs! Just wanted to say I love reading your blog and look forward to all your posts! Keep up the superb work!

    1. Absolutely thrilled you are a fan of our absolutely sick reporting. If this site was a skateboard, it would be doing an indy nosebone 360 over Niagra Falls. I and the rest of my tWiStEd BlOgGeRs won’t stop until we say everything there is to say about Nintendo. We are so stoked that we might die and we’ll be frigid with rigor mortis, still clutching our Wiimotes until they toss us in caskets built out of the bones of Sony and Microsoft executives. Thank you for everything. We will be filling you to the brim with news soon so make sure you leave plenty of room in your dome for old MyNintendoNews, and as always: “STAY STOKED OR GET SMOKED 4:20” ~Shigeru Miyamoto

  4. Hello, every time i used to check webpage posts here in the early hours in the break of day, because i like to learn more and more.

  5. It must be something related to GameBoy Advance, obviously. But it could be for either Wii U or 3DS since both have touch screens. I have a feeling it’s redone touch related Advance games. I wonder which ones they’ll do. I’m so curious. It COULD also be Android/iOS versions. Kinda curious now!
