I’d like a game not rocking every color in the rainbow in it’s brightest hue, with some adult characters. I would Consider Metroid, Starfox, Eternal Darkness, Resident Evil all adult games.

No. Adult is a better term since even adults can be quite immature. Mature is a term for people that don’t care if a game has blood, gore, violence, and/or sex in them. The ESRB has corrupted some US Americans’ minds into believing mature=adult.
I’m so thankful I’ve not been corrupted by the ESRB’s bad way to rate video games. M for Mature should be changed to A for Adult with A for Adult changed to XXX for games that have actual sex you can see AND perform yourself. Or use the same rating system that movies use.

Valve does not equal Sony. And Sony’s Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale was a pathetic knockoff of Super Smash Bros. Not sure about Valve making their own game like Super Smash Bros. Maybe they could do a better job than the developers that made PASBR for Sony.

Only know the guy from Portal so I didn’t recognize anyone in the video. Thought it was pretty lame actually. Everyone looks “the same.” They are almost all realistic-looking human characters except for the one robot guy from portal.
I don’t think it would work. Even PSASBR had a better cast than what this video showed. You need a tremendous amount of variety in a cast for a Smash Bros-like game and Valve doesn’t have that.
I agree. Nintendo has a great cast: italian plumbers, dragons, yellow electric rats, swordsmen, ninjas, fluffy pink balls, space mercenaries, elves, boxers… it’s such a mixed bag of characters, the result can’t be anything else than a great game!

The video looks great. Unfortunately, the video itself just didn’t have much of a variety of characters. And above all else, it’s just a CGI video, not actual gameplay. With that said, it could have some potential if Valve made a game like SSB but only if the gameplay is FLAWLESS. I can not stress that enough. Pretty realistic graphics, no matter how realistic and beautiful it is, is not going to save a game if the gameplay is shit. After all, real gamers want games, not CGI movies with little bits of gameplay thrown in here & there. I give the video an A+ but the idea itself a C+.
