This week’s UK charts are in courtesy of GFK Chart-Track. In a quiet week, The Last of Us: Remastered remains top of the individual chart. The PS4 title is joined by three other non-movers, with Nintendo’s weird and whimsical simulation game, Tomodachi Life, remaining in fourth.
Further down the chart, Mario Kart 8 slides into 14, just one lower than last week’s position, while Pokemon X and Y keep the battle alive in the top 30 at 29 and 28, respectively. Other than the PC’s new release Command & Conquer: Ultimate Collection, the individual chart remains largely the same. You can check out the full individual top 40 below.

Forget the UK. Remember, they’re into sports “games.” Real ones don’t apply in their eyes.
But the funny thing is that the best selling sports game in UK this week is 17th position.
Sometimes, take a good look at your comment before posting bullshit
And yet there are more sports games in the US top 40, seven compared to the UKs five.
What a pointless comment.
And some of us are actually from the UK and do care.
Watch Dogs seems to be going down and then moving back up. Lol that game sure is persistent. XD I’m definitely getting it when it comes to Wii U.
Looks like the best console, the Xbox One, is dominating yet again.
Xbox caters to the rich and famous: The people who buy Xbox have an income of $10,000 and more
Sony caters to the middle-class people: The people who buys Playstation has an income of $5,000
Nintendo is like the beaten/starving dog in the alley, catering to the poor stragglers like your typical hobo and random creepy guy staring at you outside the restaurant
It’s official: Xbox is the best
You Xbots are nothing more than a sub species that was born out of the disposable wastes of the PC Master Race…
XD
Grudge
^^And people say some of us are ‘fanboys in denial’ or ‘blind fanboys.’ xD
I’ll start calling gax, sasori’s boyfriend, both like to rim job Bill Gates A hole
The Best huh???? Funny that, considering the console has sold the least and has shown no sign of catching the Wii U.
Sorry, but please do not talk about sales. Sales are the Wii U’s weak point and you are literally damaging it even more. -_-
Not really when you consider the PS4 isn’t too far ahead of the Wii U’s sales. So what if it’s been out longer? The Xbox 360 was out longer than the other consoles last gen & it took a good year & a half to take off, yet no one ever said it’s sales were pathetic because it was behind the competition by a year. So are we to always consider the Wii U’s sales as being bad even if it does close the gap between itself & the PS4? By this reasoning, the Xbox 360 is getting utterly decimated by the PS3 even though they are both pretty neck & neck with their sales.
No, that’s not how it works. The 360 was the first console in the generation of its time and I’m pretty sure it was not doing this badly. It took PS3 quite some time to beat 360. It didn’t go down that easily and it’s head start did it some good. It took the PS4 a couple of MONTHS to get past the Wii U. Where do you think it will be in another year from now compared to the Wii U? It’s head start literally did almost nothing. And I know some people on here like to joke around about how Xbox One is selling the least when it somehow made it only a few million away from the Wii U in nearly the same time as PS4. It’s not like it’s going to just somehow stop and let the Wii U recover. Sales ARE the Wii U’s weak point. And it isn’t just hardware. It’s even in the games. Mario Kart 8 is selling well, but can the same be said about other games? How does a third party game like Watch Dogs manage to sell more on the other consoles than a 1st party exclusive? This is exactly the issue. This isn’t like the Wii. It didn’t get all the casuals attention that have all the money and it didn’t get the hardcore either. There are still MILLIONS of gamers playing last gen and this is what Xbox and PS are fighting for. Getting them to make the switch. And most of them are skipping past the Wii Ubecause it doesn’t offer them the same thing they got to play last gen with their other system. Like I said before, the Wii U is not doing well and just because it’s selling more than the Xbox One doesn’t make the situation any better. At the rate this is going, X1 might outsell Wii U for all you know. This is a serious issue and Nintendo has better get it together before those other games decide to switch and it gets too late.
Has Mario Kart 8 finally run it’s course in the UK? Is this the end of Mario Kart 8’s stubbornness to stay relevant to the top 10!? Find out next week! xD
On a serious note, I’m glad Mario Kart 8 was able to stay where it was in the UK charts. Unfortunately, Mario Kart 8 won’t be getting the much needed backup it needs in the UK til mid-September when Hyrule Warriors finally releases. If lucky, the release of Hyrule Warriors next month will bring Mario Kart 8 back into the top 10. If not, oh well. I’m still going to enjoy MK8, when I play it, anyway, so the sales ultimately don’t effect me.
Tomodachi Life is doing really good for a decent game.
So Mario Kart 8 is at #14 in the charts while a good game like Watch Dogs is still at #5 and The Last of Us Remastered is still at #1. You social rejects still don’t understand that the “system seller” for the Wii U is a flop.
wii us worse market so I pretty much expected this all along its holding on a lot better in france, japan(its been rising there actually ever since that new commercial) ,germany ,us ,and everywhere else.
It just shows that uk doesnt like wii u that much that is all.
(and dont call me a social reject either i like hiking and football(not american football real football)
Casual and generic market, like the US(a little less worse) .
MK8 got boring to me fast when I beat it :/ idk wut to do with the system is collecting finger prints and dust :/
