Xenoblade Chronicles X executive producer Tetsuya Takahashi has revealed in the latest edition of EDGE magazine that the game will feature a more user-friendly and intuitive quest interface compared to its predecessor Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii. Takahashi told the publication that “objectives and relevant people will be displayed on the map.” He also mentioned that the team will be including “a number of other features to help with quests”.

If we assume that quests are similar to Xenoblade, where you can trade for materials or items and such, I hope this means you can see which people can trade an item you need for a quest automatically.
Oooh that’s good. I didn’t even know you could trade until 60 hours into the game and at that point I missed about 200 NPCs that had a bunch of important goodies.

Never REALLY wanted a 3DS till now. Sonds like an epic introduction to the system and to Xenoblade (which I also didn’t get my hands on).

Idk you guys don’t feel they’ll just release a “new”er 3ds by winter 2015/summer 2016 with a bigger second circle pad. and where it should be, under the buttons?!?! Seriously where it’s at looks fucking dumb. I feel they kept it small cause they don’t intend to have many games that use it but if they included it then at atleast a few gotta use. And I don’t like where the start and select buttons are located. What was wrong with keeping under the second screen? I want it I really do but I goingto to wait. Im not mad just disappointed.
I learned this after buying the 3DS day-one. I got to play Super Mario Bros., TLoZ, and Metroid: Fusion for the first time so there’s that I suppose. I have such little faith in Nintendo’s (and Sony & Microsoft now) ability to launch hardware properly.

5x bigger,and easy quest guide…yes. I hated doing some side quest in xenoblade, because its hard to find people, but this will fix in X. I wonder if the time mechanic will be used the same way of xenoblade
I never felt guilty about using the Wikia to help complete quests for Xenoblade. It was hard.
They showed there’s a clock but if certain events only happen during day/night, it’s not too big of a deal since you can change to any time of day whenever you want.
yeah and the quests werent that fun either but i did enjoy the game

It means they’ll show the locations of NPCs when you look at the gigantic overworld map. It’ll be great for locating certain NPCs in the huge towns.

I’ll admit that I’m not a huge fan of the fact that people can now emb images and videos directly onto the page. Someone could easily take advantage of this and that’s a weakness!

I’m going to use my original character for the main character when I create them. Just like I did with Monster Hunter 3 Tri/Ultimate. I’d much rather have a canon character to play the game as, though. Maybe the character creation screen will have a default design & name that represents the canon character.
