Double Fine has revealed that it is working on a patch for the Wii U version of Costume Quest 2. The upcoming update will implement off-TV play integration, allowing users to play the action RPG solely on the Wii U GamePad. A sequel to Double Fine’s Halloween-themed original, Costume Quest 2 includes new features and gameplay enhancements. Priced at $14.99, the game is available in the Nintendo eShop on Wii U.

Interestingly, there were more than a couple of people in the CQ2 miiverse community that compared the game’s atmosphere to that of Earthbounds. They also mentioned how it reminded them of super mario rpg. Held off getting this after hearing about the lack of off-tv play, looks like that won’t be a problem now!
