Aonuma Confirms Midna Is A Twilight Princess DLC Character In Hyrule Warriors

Eiji Aonuma has confirmed via Miiverse that Midna from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will be a playable character in the second DLC pack for Hyrule Warriors which will be released November 27th. Aonuma revealed the news via Miiverse and said that Midna will retain her look from the end of Twilight Princess. Here’s what he said.

“When I was developing Twilight Princess, I thought it was such a waste to let a beautiful princess like her only appear in the ending. Now Koei Tecmo Games has made my wish to see more of her come true. Twili Midna’s weapon is the Mirror of Twilight, which appeared in Twilight Princess. This mirror was destroyed at the end of that game, but it’s pretty amazing in Hyrule Warriors.”

“In fact, I can’t describe in words what’s so amazing about it, so I hope you’ll download this DLC pack and see for yourself. In addition to Twili Midna, the Twilight Princess Pack includes new weapons, costumes and an adventure map, so if you played through the original game, they should contribute to the fun you’ll have in Hyrule Warriors. (For one of the costumes, you can dress Link up as a certain familiar character from the Zelda series. It may make you say “”Wow!”” so I hope you’ll look forward to it.) The second DLC pack for Hyrule Warriors, the Twilight Princess Pack, will be released globally on November 27!”

Thanks, Twilight Warrior

  1. When will all this Nintendo shit come to the PS4? The PS4 has shitty games and i dont want to pay 300$ for a glorified PS3(Wii U).

            1. Ps4 has all the same third party, and in several cases has better offerings (bonus content, timed exclusives, early dlc)
Xbox’s new manager is focused on games, and even has rare working on its ok IP again. Plus their investing a lot in indie devs as well, Xbox has way more to offer in its OS, and Microsoft is working to bring windows 10 to Xbox one, which speed up the Xbox and loading times, as well as allow for cross development, In other words if you make a app/game for windows 10 it can be made for PC, phone and Xbox all at the same time ….so ya Xbox is way better then ps4, and Wii U may not have all the special features and such, but it has amazing first party games, and great indie support. As well as imaginative new controls

        1. Im a hardcore Nintendo fan but even i agree with hollow grape Microsoft are just greedy and should focus on pc gaming not console gaming. if you ask me is should be Nintendo & Sony for the gaming Giants !

          1. It’s that’s why their lowering prices, windows 10 well be free, 90% of their apps are free, and their making a lot of stuff open source. And idk bill gates has the world’s largest charity organization… Think again

    1. You could just save up and get a Wii U. There are a ton of awesome games out already, (Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Warriors, Super Smash, Mario 3D world, Pikman 3, Bayonetta 2, etc…) with more coming out next year. My PS4 is for the 3rd party and Playstation exclusives. Basically anything I want that’s not coming to Wii U I pick up on Playstation.

    2. well if you like the games on the wii u better then buy a wii u, serves you right for buyin a console only for specs, if you’re gonna do that then just get a pc because lord knows nothing is capable of beating it’s specs.

      1. You obviously don’t have a rig if you have this type of mindset. A PC game is only good if it’s optimized well for the specific system/graphics card. Plus, it costs thousands of dollars to get a decent pre-built PC, and it’s hard to build a PC if you’re not sure what you’re doing, and if you screw up it’s gonna be a disaster of issues.

        1. I actually do have a pc rig actually XD, i’m also fairly interested in the ps4(bloodborne looks amazing!). I managed to build a fairly good rig for about £500 odd 3 years back which is still going strong, might need to upgrade it soon but it’s running games on high fine, if you use a guide on the internet and use your head it’s not that hard to build a pc.

Also while there are badly made pc games, they generally tend to be badly optimized when they’re console ports, some of which don’t even change the controller icons(i’m not kiddin i’ve seen this).

    3. Why not have both?

I mean, if that’s financially a problem, then I understand picking one over the other(s), but it doesn’t quite explain the unreasonable hatred towards gaming that fanboys show…

Get a job, and enjoy the best of all worlds~.

  2. Hyrule Warriors is sooooo low. No matter what characters are added, it’s the same, flashy OP gameplay. Next they will add Boss Carpenter. Special move: Shaky mouth attack.

    1. That would be fucking awesome dude.
You seem to have missed the fact that Hyrule Warriors isn’t much more than wallowing in Zelda-ness as much as possible. Which is a good thing.
For all its re-hashing, the Zelda series hasn’t had nearly enough wallowing. So many awesome characters left in the dust. Next I want to see that lap-slapping guy lap-slap the **** out of Wizzro.

      1. I dunno, while you can button mash in the beggining, some of the later levels are getting pretty hard for me and I find myself having to focus more on what bases to defend and which to attack, I think the games deeper then people give it credit honestly.

  3. Not that I’m complaining, but couldn’t this just have been a weapon? I love Minda, she is one of my favorite characters, but I feel like this could have just been a weapon.

    1. It was actually easy for me since I had the wife help me using the local co-op. Luckily you don’t need to get A rank on all 5 Reward Map levels. If you want the Goron Tunic, I suggest getting Wizzro to lvl 99 with his 3rd weapon with 5 stars & spam his attack that involves him spinning around & sending out his magic attacks. That attack of Wizzro’s cuts the giant bosses weak point in half rather quickly when you’re right up on them. Be forewarned: The Imprisoned won’t allow you to do this in one go since he only lets you cut his weak point to a certain point then he comes out of it once you hit it, so be ready to run. I hope that helps if you don’t have anyone that’s good at games to help you nearby.

      1. Of course, I’m assuming your main obstacle is the Boss Rush since it seems to be a problem for a lot of Hyrule Warriors owners.

      2. I hate when people talk about their wives in video game conversations! I’m happy for you and all, but gosh. You make me jealous. No need to show off. Bleh. XD

        1. Not my fault she’s actually important to this story. That’s like not telling people I had a cousin that helped me conquer Super Mario World as a kid. Or that a childhood girl friend (I got a space in there for a reason) of mine got me into Donkey Kong Country. They are integral to the story. That’s like Frodo leaving out the fact Sam was always there for Frodo when he was tasked with destroying the One Ring. lol

  6. I’m expecting it to be the Hero’s Shade, aka the Hero of Time himself. If it’s not, I’m going to be so let down. Anyway, it should be the Hero’s Shade since this DLC pack is called Twilight Princess.
