Global was over 200K for Bayonetta 2. U.S.A. was over 120K according to VG Charts. Either way the real total for NPD and VG Chartz are estimates as not every retailer report sales.

The developers don’t get quite that much. They sell the game for less than the retail price to stores, and they probably pay shipping and taxes and stuff too.

Mario games are great in that you can play them with more than 2 people in local multiplayer. That said, Wii U is actually my first Nintendo -console, and the 2 Mario-games I own are my first Mario games, and have both been excellent. That said, I did also get Bayonetta, W101, DKC:TF, Pikmin3, and a few more, and all of them have been great (although I haven’t beaten Bayo1 yet, let alone 2, so Smash will just have to wait).

Actually Bayonetta two did not sell well on the eshop. Reggie himself said Bayonetta had low digital sales, at about 10%.

I was actually considering buying Bayonetta 2 until I played the demo. I knew just from that that it wasn’t my cup of tea. I’m not a fan of hack and slash games.
turns out that picking cheap hardware (much older gen hardware) be able to double profit from ur business… its not actually working anymore. I hope nintendo gets that message and in a couple of years or 3, they will come out with something competitive, or even more feature proof than x1 and ps4. X1 and ps4 allready have some negative comments from the devs, limits them in the AI, etc.

At my retailer the stock for this game is <-25 (special edition), first print sold out in less than 20 minutes.
Though there is no telling how many orders they still have unfulfilled, since they only show 25 max, could be 26, could be 50.

Normal version seems not to sell as well, Nintendo should do a digital promotion, if you buy the regular, you get 90% off of Bayo 1 digital.
