  1. Guys, if you have a 3DS, listen to me, do what I say. Do not update anything. You can’t let Nintendo have records show up in their computers of people updating the old 3DS. If you stop from updating, Nintendo will see that we are fed up and we want the New 3DS before January. Show Nintendo that. If you want the new 3DS. If not, then just don’t update to help others who DO want this. Think about others and not just yourself.

      1. It will show that Nintendo that we are fed up of continuing to use the 3DS, as we could be using the new 3DS right NOW. And it would be much better if it’s released now instead of spring, because in winter it’s cold outside, and we have more time to play with a new 3DS xl at home. I dont want to be enjoying normal 3DS this winter, I want to enjoy the new one while im stuck at home this winter.

          1. Tell me you will do that do. Together, we will show Nintendo. Together, we unite, we grab hands to connect the power of what us fans want Nintendo to do.

            1. No that’s ok, im rather enjoying the hell out of my 3DS. Whenever they choose to release the new 3DS is fine by me. I hope they do some sort of trade in program though, that would be nice.

              1. no thanks as that wont work and its not like Nintendo has all the new 3ds lying around some where just hiding them and making us wate just to want it more only last part of that is some what true btw think about u can just make 100,000 systems or more in a few months it takes time it also takes time for them to get from chia where they are made to get to all the hundreds of stores they are sold in BTW if u want the NEW 3ds or NEW 3ds xl import one I know a friend who has both of them and they are cool but I can wate a few months till there realesed

        1. Nah… I’ll continue to be a sheep to capitalism and consumerism…

Besides, the boycotting of a free update doesn’t really say much in a capitalism-based economy. You have to boycott the stuff Nintendo makes money on, such as consoles and games, in a macro level rather than locally among a few dissidents,

    1. And why would you think any of that is going to happen. Besides its coming in a month or 2, just chill. Worry about discontinued amiibo not a 3DS were getting any ways

      1. My man, my man…screw amiibos, my MAN. Nintendo makes it all OOOh and AAAH. They make something that looks so official. It’s just BS that they are quickly limited. How do you think they make kids feel when they see videos of amiibos, and their eyes sparkle, and they ask their parents for all those glorious amiibos which would be their dream, only for the parents to break their kid’s heart cuz many of them are gone or hard to find. If it was going to be somthing so unstable as to disappear so quickly, it shouldn’t have been anything important for the wii u to begin with, unlocking in game stuff that some people will never get cuz they cant find that amiibo. As a matter of fact Xenoblade X will probably use the Shulk amiibo, and gamespot here ruins stuff. Ninendo made a mistake with the amiibos, breaking hearts everywhere. Everything the amiibo offers is something you can easily download in the e-shop. you wanna have a DK and greninja FP in smash? Download the DK DLC and Greninja DLC. Same goes for Mario Kart or any other upcoming game.Admit it. amiibos are a scam. they virtually offer any normal thing that could be put in the e-shop. Shameful.

    2. I don’t know why you’re so eager to get a New 3DS, friend. You’re not missing out on much..

The new 3DS is out where I live and let me tell you, while I love it as its own system, I can’t think of any more than two reasons for existing 3DS owners to get one.

The first reason is the 3D screen. It uses head tracking.. So moving your head no longer ruins the 3D effect.

The second reason is loading times, in some titles, they’re better.

I suppose a third reason could be the C-stick, if you’re not a fan of CPP.

Other than that, what reason is there? I only had a regular 3DS, so naturally I upgraded to the New 3DS XL for the screen size, the other features are simply a bonus. . The power increase is minimal and besides, there are no exclusive games yet, so what’s wrong with waiting?

  2. Um…specify next time who can actually download this update? Because that’s clearly for the New 3DS that’s available in Japan for the moment. None of us in the west have no use for this information for our own 3DS.

            1. Hey, I was wondering if you could answer me this one thing please: Why are “i”s on this website displayed as “l”s? On peoples’ usernames such as yours.

                1. Yeah, it’s Chrome. That’s the only browser I use, haha. You’re probably right though, could be different with other browsers.

  3. So let me guess… no “disable annoying repetitive theme music that interferes with concentration” option yet huh?

  4. It’s nice having the update and all…..but I kinda wish they added the holiday themes along with it…..I’ve been dying to get my hands on that holiday animal crossing theme…..

  5. Wicked awesome. Although I really don’t get the point of the upper and lower screen shot abilities. Unless im playing a game and do something uber cool, im not going to bother snapping a screen shot. Its pointless for me anyway, I wish you could screen shot during gameplay. Idk, am I missing something?

  6. It would be a nice feature if we could capture in-game screenshots. I like that we can show off our Home Menu themes and such, but there’s only so much you can do with that. Taking in-game screenshots as well gives more freedom to the players, especially if they want to share them online. Wii U Image Share can do this, so I currently can’t think of a reason why this would be a bad idea.

    1. I can’t help but feel my post was completely re-worded here. I dont even care to show off what games I have on my 3DS, seems redundant and tacky. Anyway.

MR. GAME & WATCH AMIIBO !!!

  7. I don’t even know how I found this website but I been checking it like 5 times a day for the last 2 years at least #!

  8. This is a sweet update. But seriously, no new firmware features for Wii U yet? No Wii U themes/image backgrounds? No SD media read or play like music/videos or extend more system storage? No direct P2P system connectivity with 3DS to emulate it as a controller/mirror its display on Gamepad? Anything? X(
