      1. I truly feel sorry for ya. I thought I was outta luck as well, and was going to get the black one. Turns out I was still ablw to order in stores. Nintendo is bad about gauging customer interest.

  1. The New 3DS uses micro SD cards but I hope it’s still possible to transfer your data from the old 3DS to the New one. If I can do that I think I may eventually upgrade. Because I really don’t want to lose all my 3DS data. :(

        1. So you mean if I buy a New 3DS and then I pull out my old 3DS, I can simply transfer between the two? Or… Do I still need a computer or something? ._.

          1. You can directly transfer from your old 3ds to your new 3ds, i think you need to have an sd card in both systems though .

          2. You don’t need a computer, but it is recommended that you have one and a SD to Micro SD reader/writer, as it will be faster. If you have a lot of data on your 3DS, it will take a long time to transfer it all wireless. Make sure you choose your steps carefully, as some only retain your licenses while other methods retain everything from your licenses to all your save data as well.

Here is a pretty easy to follow guide transferring to the New 3DS.

            1. Thanks. Actually, I just watched a video about it. I think I’ll be fine with waiting for the data to transfer between the two.

  2. I wish they would abandon the whole “blocks” system already. Most people nowadays know at least how big megabytes and gigabytes are. What if someone wanted to upgrade their SD card? How would they know how much space they would need for a transfer?

As a side note, Amazon America needs to get with the damn program and put the New 3DS XL models up on their site.
