A lot of you watched the Xenoblade Chronicles X presentation which took place on February 6th, but as you will have been aware it was all in Japanese. Thankfully, someone with Japanese to English translation knowledge has completely translated the 24 minute Xenoblade Chronicles X presentation. Be sure to have enabled captions and annotations and enjoy the video in English.

wait.. so instead of finding those people that got seperated from the ship when it crashed right away, you decided to first build a replica of downtown los Angeles?!?!?! PRIORITIES PEOPLE! XD
Western cattle…
Its called supply management kid. What’s the point of waking them up if you can’t provide their basic needs.
their basic needs are skyscrapers and a tenmporary government? they would’ve had more hands to help them build the city and help forage for food. face it, it makes no sense. doesn’t mean the game won’t be fun though.
Well considering they are on a planet with creatures that can easily kill people by simply stepping on them, I think building up a settlement is a high priority & is on par with basic necessities.
but sky scrapers? houses and forts yes but a replica of la is just ridiculous! If I’m one of those people in those containers I’m pissed… or dead! XD
Video game logic I guess ;)
This Translation video is terrible. I expected it to be translated as they talk.
But will there be interior exploration? I know it may sound unimportant but what’s the point of a realistic city if you can enter the buildings?
Well Thank God!!!

can’t understand how the fanboys think the graphics on this look good. It’s okay, but it really lacks in detail especially the people.
Yes because when making a hugely open world game, your people are the most important detail
Some of us play the game, not stare at it like Sonyans do…
I don’t undrrstand why so many people think that detail is the most important thing when it comes to aesthetics.
Hey that Rome game for the Xbox has better graphixx than this game. Dude that game is so much better because it has realistic details, bra. I’m gonna buy that game instead of Xenoblade beacuse it looks betters.. I’m such a shallow, simple minded teenager I only buy games that look real and have the bestest graphixx bra. Gotta go, time to play COD while watching the Cynical Brit, bra.
*reads this again in Eric Cartman’s voice* lol
Ever heard the phrase “beauty is in the eye of the beholder?”
super psyched for this!!!!!!! day one purchase, no question.
same here, its the reason i bought the wii u.
Sold, final fantasy get the fuck out
It will be a great game but will it be epic? I hope that they gave coop and mp serious consideration when developing the skeleton. A free for all mode with a few hundred people would be….dirty.
Elma is really hawt. Kinda looks like a dark elf.
It’s actually really sad that a fan had to do this. Now watch, two or three months from now Nintendo will release this same exact video to the West except it will be in English. No thanks Nintendo, we already watched it back in February when it was released! The hype will be died down some as well…
I say this all the time, but I will never understand why Nintendo thinks it’s a good idea to release such an anticipated blockbuster title like this early in Japan. By the time it’s released in the West, spoilers will be all over the internet. Everybody that wants to play this game will have to go out of their way to avoid spoilers, especially on a site like MNN. And also all the secrets and mysteries to Xenoblade Chronicles X will be answered, and that will greatly lower the hype to this game. The hype will be essentially cut in half by the time it hits the west. And yes Nintendo, that will impact the sales of this game!!
Worldwide simultaneous releases should be mandatory on games like this. I will never understand what is going through Nintendo’s mind. It’s not 1995 anymore Nintendo. Times have changed…
They do it because if they released the game in Japan the same time they released it here, the game would be ssuuuuper delayed in Japan, considering they have to translate all of this into English and find English voice actors. I think they’d rather release it sooner rather than later. They need the funds. True, it’s a shame that things will be spoiled on the internet, but all you have to do is just ignore it and wait for the American release.
So, that’s whats going through Nintendo’s head. They’d rather have the game out sooner to those who can get it sooner, and that’s a good thing!
I didn’t know they planned to do that. It’s not a good thing. Delay the game for as long as it takes and then release it simultaneously. They should have been taking care of the translations during development. I doubt i’ll even get it now since the sites WILL spoil the game. Are we supposed to stay off the net until the game releases here? Bad form.
If that’s true, it still makes little sense. The original Xenoblade Chronicles sold about 150k in Japan. It sold over 500k in the U.S.. So why not release it here first? Why risk killing the hype to your largest consumer base?
Everytime a game I am really hyped for releases in Japan months early, I always end up losing hype over. It’s not easy to avoid spoilers. Alot of time people will put spoilers in the thumbnail pictures of their videos, and other times they are plastered all over the comment sections. So now I have to avoid my favorite internet sites for 3 maybe 6 months? Maybe longer? The answer to that is no, I will not avoid these sites, and if I hit spoilers than so be it. I’ll blame Nintendo, not the trolls..
I guarantee you these type of staggered releases hurt sales overall. How many people that are on the fence about getting this game will decide to watch a Let’s Play of it instead now? Hell, it’ll be six months before it releases, might as well watch an LP on youtube, right? Trust me, it’s not a good thing, and a very poor business decision by Nintendo.
ok
Am I the only one that felt like the way they described the game (unless it is a translation error) sounds super lame. My hype was crushed by this video. I will still get this game but man does it sound not as good as the first one for wii. Basically I am to run around and explore this land but am recommend to not fight unless our safety is questioned. Oh yeah, We have these awesome mechs but you cannot use them until we say you can. Or is this just me??
