Paper Mario Amiibo are something we’ve all been waiting for, but nothing has been announced. To make up for this, dedicated Deviant Art user NBros has created his own fully functioning Paper Mario Amiibo figures complete with custom made Amiibo packaging. Same. We’re talking about a re-packaged item with their official printed logo. If this person is selling them then I would assume its illegal as fokk.
I wonder what Nintendo thinks about these custom amiibos… Then again, it’s Nintendo, so they could either be thinking “We just love seeing the cool, custom designs of amiibos from our fans!” or “You fiends! Stop this instant!”.

The only flaw is that on Luigi’s box art it has a Smash logo in the back. Otherwise, they look pretty slick.
I need these in my life. Along with all his partners from Paper Mario 64 and The Thousand Year Door, plus a few of the bosses and Mr. L of course.
Why would you want these? And I have to say again, anyone who spends money on these ‘home projects’ are really foolish. There is no value in these, collectable or monetary.
But hey, if you like spending your hard earned money on some kids arts and craft project, than by all means..
Arts and crafts project? These things look high quality. Sure, they don’t actually work in Paper Mario games, but they still look pretty cool
Why would I want them? Because i’m a big Paper Mario fan and they look cool. That’s reason enough. That said i’m not buying them- i’d prefer ones that actually function as Paper Mario and Paper Luigi when scanned into games so i’ll be waiting for an official series but still, rather rude of you to judge someone for wanting for something just because you can’t see the appeal in them. Also funny you called them a kids arts and craft project when they actually look better than a few of the official amiibo models…
To play devil’s advocate, people buy paintings, hand painted figurines and other art projects all the time. (modded game systems to look like a gaming franchise is another example)
If the quality of work and talent are solid, people buy this stuff all the time. Now that people have seen how easy it is to mod Amiibos, I think we will see a lot of this from here on out. There will be shitty mods no doubt, but especially at first, we’re seeing some quality, artistic mods. Fans of a character would love a quality mod!

You mean they can’t get them purely because they look great, and/or they’re a fan of Paper Mario? Why must it be so bureaucratic?
Yes, it is likely illegal. But if they are high enough quality, they will be worth something to fans of that character. If someone mods a Bowser into a Dry Bones bowser, I’d love to take a crack at getting it!
Don’t be sour because we’re not as creative and artistic as the people who thought of this!
