We could be getting The Legend of Zelda Wii U sooner than expected, if Amazon Italy is to be believed. The retailer just changed the release date for the game to June 26th and now they’ve changed it again to say December 31st. We’re not entirely sure how far along the game actually is and the last time we saw Zelda Wii U was at the Game Awards 2014. A summer release date sure would be good though.

Pretty sure Nintendo knows this would work best as a holiday release, unless they have a huge surprise up their sleeve for this year. Which I doubt. Don’t get your hopes up. So far, Zelda is the biggest game Ninty has for this year.

It would be so fantastic if they had it happen on June. At E3 they’d be like, “And our fantastic new Zelda game, Legend of Zelda: Linkolas Makes a Strike, will be released in just two weeks. We want you to have all these fantastic games as soon as they’re ready for playing and it is now Zelda’s turn to make an appearance on shelves.” Plus, doesn’t that release date get pretty close to the supposed Xenoblade Chronicles X release date?

This game is definitely not going to be released early nor mid.
Best bet is Holiday 2015, or even a continuation of the Zelda November release date chain that has been going on.

The earliest the game will release is November. This assumes no delays. X is a better candidate for summer release.

Leaked internal Nintendo documents reveal a tentative release date for Zelda Wii U… November 20th, 2015.
And Star Fox will be fully revealed at E3 this year and ‘should’ release in October, before Zelda, but we’ll see.. it depends if the development goes smoothly and quickly.
I’m a little inclined to believe that. If anyone recalls, Zelda: Skyward Sword was released on That same date four years ago. Also, I’ve been informed that other recent Zeldas have taken to the month of November.

The date was April 2015. June was the supposed release date for Xenoblade Chronicle X.
