Next Level Games Dan Pratezina Has Removed All Mentions Of Wii U From His Site

Yesterday we heard a rumour that Next Level Games, the studio behind Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, are working on a Nintendo IP for Wii U. The news came from Dan Pratezina who is an animator at Next Level Games. Well Dan has now removed all mention of Wii U from his site, probably because he wasn’t really meant to mention it. Who knows? But it’s certainly an interesting development.

Thanks, Paidenthusiast

    1. My bet it’s a new Kid Icarus or Luigi’s Mansion 3 or a new IP but whatever it is hopefully it’s gets revealed real soon

  1. Of course they have. They won’t even give a release date on Yoshi’s Wooly World when they said it would be early this year. They haven’t even mentioned it at all this year. As far as I’m concerned there’s no games til Splatoon comes out and to that I say stuff you Nintendo. You have two weeks to announce Yoshi for an April release otherwise I won’t be supporting you anymore. These droughts are worse than paying for online. When I buy a console and it’s in it’s third year I don’t want a drought for half a year.

      1. The games I’m interested in on the Wii U are:

        Yoshi’s Wooly World.
        Splatoon.
        Xenoblade Chronicles X.
        Devil’s Third.
        Starfox Wii U.
        Zelda Wii U.

No release dates for any of them. They are not satisfying me and that’s what this is about. Nintendo need to please you or you go else where for entertainment. UI have no attachment to Nintendo and they have to offer a product I want otherwise I don’t support them. I like and respect Nintendo but I don’t have to like everything Nintendo offers.

        1. Wow, so you did a new game every month to feel satisfied about a company. What you are in an entitled punk if that’s what you think. I find it hard to believe you “respect” Nintendo just because games aren’t coming out when you specifically want them.

        2. You seriously can’t be patient enough to wait for perfection. No. You want to hear some early release date reveal so they can delay that date and you get pissed regardless and then when the game comes INCOMPLETE, you still get pissed or rather not and grow the dumbass mentally to swallow that overhyped crap you paid for (Destiny/Watchdogs) and try so hard to justify it in failure.

Make up your mind on your patience and the games you want.

    1. Games coming out this year

      Mario Party 10
      Splatoon
      Yoshi’s Wooly World
      Mario Maker
      Never Alone
      Don’t Starve: Giant Edition
      Mighty No. 9
      Project Cars
      Devil’s Third
Tantalus mysterious ” AAA ” next gen port
      Project Giant Robot
      Project Guard
      Runbow
      Affordable Space Adventures
      Rodea The Sky Soldier
Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem
      Xenoblade Chronicles X
      Star Fox Wii U
      the new Legend Of Zelda

What drought are you talking about?

      1. In PAL regions:

        January: Captain Toad.
        February: Nothing.
March: Mario Party 10 and Mario vs Donkey Kong.
        April: Nothing.
        May: Splatoon.

Don’t care about Captain Toad, Mario Party 10 or Mario vs Donkey Kong so therefore I’m in a drought. Nintendo’s job is to satisfy it’s customers. They are failing doing so. I and other are not happy with them about these droughts. Don’t list indie games because I don’t buy a console to play indies.

        1. Am in a hella drought as well. There haven’t been any games i wanna pick up that recently came out.

        2. ” Don’t list indie games because I don’t buy a console tp play indies. ”

But yet you own a PS4 which is ” indie central “…..smh. I swear the hypocrisy within the gaming community is hereditary

          1. I didn’t buy the PS4 for indies. I bout it for:

            The Order: 1886.
            Bloodborne.
            Mortal Kombat X.
            The Witcher 3.
            Batman: Arkham Knight.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
            Persona 5.
            Dragon Quest: Heroes.
            Star Wars: Battlefront.
            etc.

        3. Be patient motherfucker. lol You sound like you have nothing else to do but wait for goddamn video games. Go swim, take a walk, bird watching, bang on a prostitute, something!

      2. Tantalus mysterious ” AAA ” next gen port
        Project Giant Robot
        Project Guard
        Runbow
        Affordable Space Adventures
        Rodea The Sky Soldier

WTH are these? extremely obscure or low-profile junk.
A mysterious port that could be trash no-one cares about ? LOL
Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem? LMAO… accept the fact it was cancelled already!

      3. Yeah, the only people who believe the Wii U is in a drought right now are morons. Kind of like Gamingfan and anonymous up there.

      4. Most of those games don’t even have a certain release date, they could be (and mostly are) several months away, for all we know. All you did was supporting his argument of the WiiU experiencing droughts, really.

          1. Oh, really? Let’s take a closer look at your list then:

            Mario Party 10 – March 20
            Splatoon – “May” 2015
Yoshi’s Wooly World – still no certain date, first half of 2015
Mario Maker – no certain date, first half of 2015
            Never Alone – June
Don’t Starve: Giant Edition – “spring”
            Mighty No. 9 – April
Project Cars – delayed to an unknown date
            Devil’s Third – “2015”
Tantalus mysterious ” AAA ” next gen port – we don’t even know what game it is, let alone the release date
Project Giant Robot – no mention of any kind of release window, if I’m not mistaken
Project Guard – same as above
            Runbow – Q3 2015
Affordable Space Adventures – April 9
Rodea The Sky Soldier – July 28 for NA, Q4 for Europe
Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem – no sign of any kind of release window
            Xenoblade Chronicles X – “2015”
            Star Fox Wii U – “2015
the new Legend Of Zelda – “2015”

12 of the 20 games you have mentioned don’t have a clear release date yet, if I’m not wrong, and 3 of the other 8 are still at least 2 months away.
            So… Come again?

        1. So? I rather wait when the game is COMPLETE and have a solid date than one with multiple release dates being delayed 3 times and then the game launches as a POS overhype scam.

      5. Not one of those games has released yet. I have to agree with him about the drought. Nintendo is notorious for having early year gaming droughts..

    2. “I won’t support the only company still making real games because waah waah they don’t announce that Yoshi’s Wooly World is gonna release tomorrow, waah waah”

    1. Who cares if people know they’re making a Wii U game. We still don’t know what it is. Nintendo needs to change because their practices are bs.

      1. I agree with you about the gaming droughts, but it’s still no reason to get upset with Nintendo. The reason why their games always win awards and are so amazing is because they take time to make. You cannot rush perfection. You have to be patient to be a Nintendo fan, no doubt about it. Do you even realize how long we had to wait for Majoras Mask remake?

        1. I totally agree with what your saying. But the reason Majora’s Mask remake took so long wasn’t because of perfecting it. It took so long because they had 2 other zelda games going on at the same time (ALBW and Zelda U)

        2. Apart from their recent games being far from perfect, Nintendo are the only ones we can blame for “having to be patient”, so yes, there definitely is a reason to be upset with them. If they actually decided to put their arrogant attitude à la “we don’t need help from others, our games are good enough” aside and finally cared to get some 3rd-parties in, those games would fill in the gaps between Nintendo’s own games and the droughts wouldn’t be as crucial. Naturally, Nintendo themselves can’t put out games every single month, because, as you’ve said, games take some time to be developed. That’s why Nintendo urgently needs to change something.
I’m just glad the WiiU isn’t the only console I own, because I don’t think I personally would be able to deal with the frustration of having to wait so long for games to finally come out. I have genuine respect for those who actually can deal with it, lmao.

  2. There’s no need for that it was obvious once we heard the company wants to work with Nintendo in the future. You are making a lot of people happy, just deleting any mention just confirms it fact not an innocent joke. He shouldn’t believe this left the internet

  3. Why doesn’t Nintendo ever release their arcade games? Luigi’s Mansion and Mario Kart, in particular.

    1. Nintendo Elite Commander Quadraxis

Because there is no need for them…

They better use that time to put real games instead…

  4. Probably because he said it’s a Wii U title that will entice you to buy the console if you haven’t already, and that until now he does not want to buy a Wii U. Hmmm

      1. I think the gameplay would combine well with the GamePad, interesting things could be created by adding the idea of the game and of the Wiiu, I love the franchise, it’s a lot of fun and Hardcore, the Wii game was sensational.

  5. No dying light, no mortal kombat 10, no devil may cry definitive edition, no Call of Duty advanced warfare, no far cry 4, no batman arkham nights, no assassin’s creed unity or rogue, no Madden, no nba live or 2k, no rock band 4, should I go on?

Y’all nintendo fanboys are the main reason why we don’t get these games because y’all rather play games like that gay ass Kirby game and Mario tea party 10.

    1. 90% of the games you mentioned are expendable, not to mention the fact that many are multiplatform or HD ports(and can also be played on PC), loser, try again, or else go play your last generation HD ports on the PS4.

    2. Nintendo Elite Commander Quadraxis

Typical imbecile, you’ve just listed every single multiplatform game this generation so far that the 2 lower empires did not create themselves but had to bribe to bring them over to their side as usual plus some extra so that they could also enslave them to make them skip the Wii U…

At least our empire creates games that become legendary and a force no one else can ever hope to match while the Xbots creates half-created guns loving ape games and the Sonyans with their graphicwhoring movie games that always disappoint their own people no matter how deluded they are…

Now Xbot, go home and take your primitive cattle nature with you…

    3. You should have gone on, because the only interesting must have game that you mentioned was Arkham Knight. I own a Ps4 and that is the only game I’m getting out of that list you just made. So yes, if your trying to prove a point you might want to “go on”.

    4. Dude what has happen to you? And as far as your list of your 3rd party multiplats go this is what the gaming media thinks of them

Madden 15 – 81…..good but still the same ole shit
      Dying Light – 73….dogshit
      Assassin’s Creed Unity – 70…..dogshit
      Assassin’s Creed Rogue – 72….dogshit
      NBA Live – 59……ratshit
I could give two shits about Rock Band and the only multiplat you listed that interest me is Batman Arkham Knight and us Nintendo fans supporting mainly Nintendo 1st party games isn’t the real reason why we aren’t getting 3rd party multiplats. It’s because these 3rd parties want be moneyhatted and have their palms greased because if the sales were a issue they wouldn’t release them on the PC

    5. Scratch MK because we got Smash Bros.; a much better fighting game. No Dying Light? Ever heard of ZombiU? It makes the rest of the other zombie games look like chore work. No DMC? Umm..Bayonetta 2 doesn’t exist to you? No Advanced Warfare? WTF cares? It’s the same crap as Ghosts, only far more painfully cliche and uninspiring, oh not to mention UNORIGINAL. No Madden? Are you fucking serious? Madden is exactly like CoD: Same POS, different year. No Far Cry 4? We also didn’t get FC3 but did you hear any of us complaining? No? Because another bore FPS isn’t interesting to us. No Arkham Knight? Yeah it’s a drag to get skipped on that one but we’ll live without. NBA? Same as Madden; we don’t care. Rock Band 4? That series is dead and those guys basically stabbed us in the back on that one even though we did (as they confessed) supported the series from last gen. No ASSassin’s Creed Unity? For one, Ubishit, backstabbed Nintendo and fans so because of that, nobody is gonna support them anymore after how they treated us and not to mention Rouge is just an add on of AC4 and Unity is yet another broken POS of 2014’s long list of “disappointing overhyped games that are meant to con hyped idiots”

I rest my case. Like 90% of the games you mentioned are not gonna make us cry over them skipping out. Arkham Knight? Maybe. GTA5? Maybe. But the rest are SHIT or not needed.

  6. Well it’s Next Level Games, so you know Nintendo trusts them with their big I.P’s. I’m pretty sure it will be a major IP, like Metroid or Kid Icarus.. I hope it’s nothing obscure like “Block Fall U” or some corny shit like that..

    1. NLG would be perfect for Metroid and Kid Icarus. Kind of disappointed that they had Metroid in the works but it got canned.

  7. (The next sarcastic comment in 3…2…1in a Mathew Mcconaughey voice) Alright, alright, alright just what i wanted Candy Crush U/ Pet Rescue Saga u!!!!! I didn’t know if i was dreaming it or it was dreaming me. I feel I left my Lincoln running with doors open. Yet i feel it was safe.

  8. What’s the phrase used in cases like this?
“Omission of detail is the same as confirmation of truth”, or something along those lines?

I’d like to think this means something secretive is in the works…
