Open-World Western Game A Cowboy’s Tale Coming To Wii U

UCraft studio Nexis Games has revealed that it is developing A Cowboy’s Tale for several platforms, including Wii U. Set in a Western town called Montana Valley, the open-world game follows the revenge story of a man who loses everything after his family is murdered. It is planned for release in 2016.

”The town of Montana Valley was a seeming peaceful place at first glance but unbeknown to many it was a common hideout for some of the most notorious criminals in the West. Montana Valley was composed of corrupt government officials who allowed Outlaws to pay refuge for safe haven within the city’s walls.”

  1. Mynintendonews guys you should check this out and do a article on it!

This is just a game I found out about yesterday and it’s really awesome! It’s too be released on Wii U as a stretch goal so let’s make it happen! https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/crosscode
There’s even a demo you can play here: http://www.cross-code.com/en/start
This isn’t my game or anything like that, I just REALLY want this game to happen and I feel it needs more exposure. Also just imagine a game as good as this on Wii U!!!!

    1. Oh jeez. I’ve been playing the demo almost nonstop. This game is ridiculously fun.
I’ve gotten through the main modes and have just been on explore for hours.

      1. Yeah the game is REALLY fun! The mechanics are actually well done! If you could, please donate and we can make the game happen! Even on Wii U if the stretch goal is reached! This isn’t my game or anything and I’m not getting paid to expose it or anything like that. This is just something I saw the other day and it needs to happen!!

  2. It’s an indie that isn’t a 16 bit 2D sidescroller, so I’m okay that the visuals look choppy. Besides, they have an entire year to polish the game. I’m definitely looking forward to this one.

    1. I’m not looking forward to it. Nexus Games had a very amateurish approach to their Ucraft title. I have no faith in this studio, and until they prove me wrong, I never will. You have to earn a fanbase, and you do that through quality software. Graphics do not matter. That whole temper tantrum Nexus Games through over the lack of finacial support Ucraft recieved during it’s kickstarter campaign was childish and unprofessional.

And where is that game btw? They promised us a Minecraft clone for the Wii U? Where is it? See what I’m saying, how can you trust a developer that lie’s to their potential customers..

  3. …the revenge story of a man who loses everything after his family is murdered.

I can’t take part in this. It’s too played out.

  4. wow the obvious pandering to the western market is getting even more obvious. first we have abraham lincoln in STEAM and now this. so sad they think this is what americans want.

      1. 60% of Nintendo fans reside in America, but I agree with your statement. Because we are still the minority..

  5. I lost all interest when I saw it was first-person perspective.

Ubisoft should make an Assassin’s Creed game based on the wild west. And throw out all of the boring, real-time parts.

  6. The next zelda game in not a new 3ds only software but compatible for the original 3ds as well because it is going to be called the legend of zelda shrimp shield and is a sequal to spiritracks for the 3ds

  7. Am i the only one who saw it titled PROTOTYPE FOOTAGE? Everyone always treats the first trailer like the final, you can’t expect an indie game to look like a AAA masterpiece. I for one am happy to see the first Unity5 Indie game confirmed for Wii U

    1. Thats because most of the old fags that pretend like they run this site have say so before the people who can read.

The correct answer or reply to this should read: ” Congratulations! Lets hope you have a good time making it and can produce a game that may sell millions! ”

      1. Nintendo Elite Commander Quadraxis

        Old fags?…

Take that Xbot ape language out of here and this game is pure nonsense you imbecile, period…

          1. Nintendo Elite Commander Quadraxis

We have no more time or tolerance for mediocre or garbage prototypes for the Wii U now…

  8. “Set in a Western town called Montana Valley, the open-world game follows the revenge story of a man who loses everything after his family is murdered.”

sounds like a generic western cowboy novel or movey

  9. Nexus games has a bad habit of showing off a game too early in development and scarying everybody off. Stop showing your games so early in development and you might get a better reaction from people…

  10. They’re becoming masters on the art of showing off pre-pre-pre-pre-pre-pre-alpha stage “gameplay”. Just checked the last “this is not a clone, THIS IS UCRAFT” trailer a couple of days ago, still wondering what were they aiming for by making that public, when suddenly they decide to go ahead with this one as well.
