Oh dear! It now seems that Walmart is delaying some people’s pre-orders of the limited edition Gold Mario amiibo. We already know that the retailer has said that additional stock is rather scarce, but we didn’t know that some of your pre-orders are being delayed. The Gold Mario amiibo is due to be released on March 20th, but some people have received an email from Walmart saying that they won’t get theirs until April 13th.

I wish people just stop pre ordering and buying them so I can buy them all.
Mine is delayed. Got the first available pre order too. Wondering if the later pre orders will be delayed too.

This one being limited doesn’t bother me so much, but they had better have PLENTY of Toad in stock. Nintendo KNOWS the popularity of the figures, as well as the stock shortage, so they need to fix it. This is the only Amiibo I may pass up on. I’m still going to Walmart on release day to see if they have any, but I’m not gonna rip my hair out over it. I just want it as a collectible, I’ll use the regular Mario Amiibo for playing. It sounds like they might do two shipments of it though, so maybe they’re trying to get stock up. Who knows, Nintendo is super shady with the Amiibo releases.
