Bloo Kid 2 will launch this Thursday, May 7th, on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS in both North America and Europe. The game is a 2D retro-style platformer with pixel graphics and a full chiptune soundtrack. Players are tasked with running, jumping and swimming their way through five worlds – each of which contains nine levels. The game also includes boss fights and secrets that are waiting to be uncovered by players. Bloo Kid 2 was inspired by several classic platforming titles, such as Super Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog and Alex Kidd.
Retro-Style Platformer Bloo Kid 2 Hits Nintendo 3DS eShop This Thursday

Those “enemies” to the right of the main character look like Staryu’s to me…
*Clarification: Not the slime looking enemies, the enemies on top of the platform to the right of the main character*
You need glasses!
;_; okay… (;)-(;)
Those stars are collectables I think.
Oh goodie. Because, if you didn’t kill enough slimes in Dragon Quest, Terraria, Zelda, Minecraft, World of Warcraft, Runescape, Dark Souls, then you can do it here in this random indie game for the 3DS.
Yay!
Yes I love retro games
Oh boy. ANOTHER 8bit platformer from an indie.
Joy.
Fuck yea love me some retro games I will be playing this shit all weekend long
“five worlds – each of which contains nine levels”
I don’t know how to explain, but I’d rather have 9 worlds with 5 levels each, than 5 worlds with 9 levels each… I wonder why.
So, is the phrase you’re looking for “too many levels for too little diversity”?
retro-Studi… oh wait xd
It would be SO awesome if one day, there was a physical, retail release with several of these sort of eShop games all on one disc. I’d SO buy it! I love collection games. Especially 8-bit and 16-bit style.
