The UK charts are in! Project CARS launched this week for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and has shot straight to the top 2 spots. It also released on PC, but that only reached number 11– which is still not bad! It has yet to release on the Wii U, but when it does I suspect we’ll be seeing it high placing again. The other two new titles are both Nintendo with Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush and Puzzle & Dragons Z: Super Mario Edition, Kirby entering in at 18 and Puzzle & Dragons in a 32. This knocks Mario Party 10 down to 37, but it’s still hanging in strong. Do you think Nintendo titles have done well this week? Check the charts out for yourself:

Glad it’s off to a good start but the Wii U version however is gonna suffer more than likely because of its late release, just like every fucking third party game out there for it.
Yeah it well. It would have still sucked even if it came out on time. The sterotype is a game will be best on more powerful platformers. And if it’s not true then why does Nintendo need to make the next console more powerful than the Wii U then? Why not just make it equally powerful to Wii U with better advertisement then? Since advertising is the reason over power?
Exactly. Wii U is the sad poster child of the current gen in terms of misunderstood existence and now PC is suffering the same being in the shadows of two gimped PC wannabe boxes that charges DUMBASSES to play online that’s free everywhere else.
If it was really about power, the PC version would be # 1. & since Project CARS started on PC, it should be optimized for PC, & therefor the best version in terms of performance. Power is only important now due to rampant multiplatting. But the hardware’s ease of use & price is also important. The original PlayStation, PS2, & Wii, even 360 compared to PS4’s early years, showed that power was not the biggest factor; it was marketing, price, games, & in Wii’s case, an intuitive (for some genres) & “new” way to play.
Consoles naturally increase in power each gen, it’s just a matter of how much & how that power is used. But most only judge by raw specs & what’s right in front of them; seeing behind them only as far as their wallets.
PlayStation brand is strong in the eyes of consumers. Commercials, slick looks, Open World, FPS, stories, graphics, 3rd parties…PS4 has it all, right? Even a few exclusives. In today’s climate, as long as it ain’t vaporware, looks cool, costs $400, & there’s little to no knowledge of how actual consoles work & what console-gaming & 3rd parties were in the past, hype, sex (always), raw specs, violence, & photorealism sells.

Played Project cars on the x box one with a game pad. It was SHITE!! Stick to mario kart.

I expected Kirby to be behind Puzzles and Dragons for some reason. I guess that Puzzle games aren’t exactly many people of the U.K’s cup of tea.
How much is Puzzle & Dragons anyway? I personally don’t see why anyone would pay more than a Dollar for just another puzzle game that’s barely any different from the billion other ones you can get for free on your smartphone.
I wanted this for my Wii U but I rather not wait. I’ll just pick it up for my XBO.

Does the Xbox One really overheat though like some people keep saying? I’m curious because the 360 starts get hot not that long after I turn it on. My PS4 usually feels cool most of the time. And the only time it got hot and turned itself off is that day I stayed up playing GTA V all night and left it on for like a day straight. It was like it was saying “Dude. Get off the games and get some sleep!” XD
Nah its just delusional fanboys perpetuating bs like always, although the 360 did get hot a lot but it never once turned off on me. My PS3 on the other hand turned off a lot, but its because the fans for some reason attract a lot of dust. You have faulties with everything though so some complains might be justified. Also the XBO is pretty much made up of fans lol half of that shit open.
My only complain about it are the install times, if you’re connected to the internet while installing from disc it takes forever to install, and I mean forever. You have to disconnect from WIFI or LAN so it can install faster. -_-
I would not hope so. If the Xbox look like a VHS it’s because of the air flow and avoid this type of issue. I don’t like the Xbox but as an Engineering point of view I found it interesting. Anyway I would be really surprise and interested to see evidences of an xbox 1 overheating.

Er… Lack of advertisement IS another reason why. GTA doesn’t need the kind of advertising the Wii U does because tons of people already know what it is. Just a simple teaser alone for GTA 6 will probably bring in a couple million sales.

People said the same thing about Watch Dogs and Splinter Cell and that barely sold any copies at all. Why would anyone wait for the Wii U version when Xbox and Sony already have it? Wii U isn’t a bad console but I swear its 3rd party support is abysmal.

To be fair, Namco really pushed this in the UK up to it’s release, I doubt that the Wii U version will be promoted in such a way. Probably another 3rd party stealth release.
