Fred Savage is now a director, but had played one of the kids in the 1989 film called The Wizard, who travels to California to take part in a Nintendo video game competition. The whole film is practically one huge commercial for Nintendo. Now, after the announcement of Nintendo’s plans for the Nintendo World Championships, Savage has tweeted saying how he wants to go— bringing the plot of The Wizard to life. Who knows, maybe they could get the rest of the main cast of The Wizard to all go!

As much as I love videos games, I thought this movie sucked! I own it, but it’s been many years since I watched it. I should re-watch it and see if I still have the same opinion. I most likely still do.

How awesome it would be if Nintendo was in fact secretly going to show a new legit big Mario game at E3, but they show the first game play of it as the final round of the 2015 Championships like SMB3 in the movie. I guess the new Zelda could also be equally awesome to see.
