Not content with announcing a new mainline Monster Hunter title, Capcom has revealed that they are bringing the PlayStation Portable title Monster Hunter Diary: Poka Poka Airou Village DX to the Nintendo 3DS. The game was originally launched back in 2010 on the PSP and is coming to Japan on September 10th for 3,990 yen. As you would expect, the game is just a spin-off but it does sound rather interesting and sounds a little like Animal Crossing. Be sure to check out the video to get a good idea of what the game involves.

  1. So the wannabe Animal Crossing MH spinoff rears its ugly mug for the second time in history? It shows how desperate Capcom is for money and I doubt any Monster Hunter fan in the West would be interested in it.

    1. So?
Tom Nook costume appeared in the Trailer so I’m pretty sure they are aware that the game looks like Animal Crossing. Go back to your overhyped Assassin’s Creed games or whatever you Ponies do.

      1. Obvious troll is obvious. I don’t even lay my hands on the Ass Creed games anymore since they’ve been low quality lately.

The thing is that Crapcom ought to gives us games that we care for , like that Monster Hunter X game for example. The company had been losing its relevance over the years and this game doesn’t seem like something high quality that would appeal to their core fans.

This is the type of game that Japanese players go CRAZY for. I bet it will sell lots of copies.

  3. Milking an IP in order to make more money to develop more games for other consoles…

3 games based on Monster Hunter will come out while the IP is hot, if that’s not milking it…

MH5 could be jumping to HD that’s why X is filling the void after MH4U. And it’s probably going home…

  4. If it’s like Animal Crossing then I will definitely buy it. Some “clones” can actually be good games.

  5. I’m not into mainline MH, though I am interested in Monster Hunter Stories. & while I’ll likely stick to Animal Crossing for my Life Sims, it’s good to see a 3rd party return to the way it used to be, unlike now where many genres are sustained by Nintendo & indies. If only Ubisoft would repent & release another 3D Platformer for Rayman, especially since I’m not really interested in Mario 3D World. Oh, & a new Prince of Persia (3D & 2D). & Red Steel 3. & Buck Bumble. Stop me if you’ve heard this before.

I do wish Red Fly Studio would make a new Mushroom Men.

Guess Yooka-Laylee & Lobodestroyo will have to suffice.
