This Video Showcases The English Voice Acting In Xenoblade Chronicles X

We’ve yet to hear the English voice acting in Xenoblade Chronicles X, until now. This new video released by Nintendo showcases the game’s voice acting and it doesn’t feature the British voice acting we’ve been used to in Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, Pandora’s Tower, and finally, The Last Story. Xenoblade Chronicles X seems to feature an American cast of voice actors this time around to make things feel a little different.

Thanks, MasterPikachu6

  1. Anyone pre-order the game yet?
Oh! The video, yeah it’s decent. Nothing out of the ordinary, except American voice acting instead. I doubt the fans will be disappointed by this small change…..

Other than that, can’t wait for this game!

If you solve the puzzle. It’s actually understandable.
        Translation:
Ah (cuz) is fucking real (cuz). This what we’ve been fucking needing. Wii u is lacking them fucking games right now. (Cuz) I got them amiibo to collect to go.

Got the the smash bros ones and everything.

        1.

    1. There are two possibilities that it could happen– 1) the option to use English and Japanese voices, or 2) Japanese audio data pack at the eShop.

  3. This game going to be dope. Hopefully it will have voice chat i doubt it will but for the sake of people looking to put the final nail in the coffin just put it in just 2 b on the safe side

  4. I like both British and American voices. But there’s something about American accents that make everything seem a little more bad-ass. Just my opinion. Don’t everyone go flippin’ out on me.

      1. I agree with both of you, but I definitely like that they were British in XC. So long as the voices bring something to the game, it will be enjoyable. I’ve heard Elma’s voice before somewhere. Can’t pin it down.

  5. Looks like verbal lip syncing hasn’t improved since the Gamecube era.

Haha. Just kidding. Omg, I’m so stoked for this game. I’m 90% done with Xenoblade 3D, I would buy a wiiu just to play X.

So fucking excited!! 2-300 hours of gameplay? If anyone has finished Xenoblade Chronicles, this is truely an amazing sequel. Thank God for some excuse for the WiiU’s existence!

  6. Thank gawd they’re back to American voices. The British was good, but it took some getting used to. This feels normal. Not to mention the voice acting is pretty damn solid. I love it.

  7. Christ American voice acting?

God lord this is gonna suck. The average American voiced video game has very little inflection, usually Very little in the way of emotional range.

Not a deal breaker, but a major disappointment.

      1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

        >>>That’s why the majority of the crybabies on this base are Americans aswell>>>

  8. I still think that that one girl’s pupils and Irises are way too big. Yikes! I understand this is Japanese developed game and they like the anime look for games, so do I, but the other girls eyes are fine but the others is just too big. This is just my opinion.

    1. I won’t spoil anything for those that haven’t investigated or played, but there actually is an in-game storyline-related reason for why Lyn’s eyes look that way.
      You’ll be quite surprised.

  9. I can already see complaints for not having British voice actors but then again the last human colony ISSS….ah new los Angeles so it makes since to give them a American cast. Y,know unless it’s some wierd international city and not formerly located the now gone U.S of A

  10. Gods, yes! They didn’t fuck this up!!!
And why the hell would they have british accents? The colony has a colossal sign that reads UNITED STATES.

  11. I can’t wait for this game although I don’t really like the involvement of REAL countries in these type of games, like a post-apocalypse type thing. Oh well the game play and story will be fun regardless, I just hope for tons of quests, relationship bonding elements, and side stories

    1. Ridley 4 Smash DLC!

Oh & hopefully better balancing if there are a ton of side quests. We don’t need another Xenoblade Chronicles where we’re overleveled before moving on to the next part of the story.

      1. Overleveled? I did most quests and discoveries on each area and rarely went overleveled into the next. if anything not doing quests is asking to get fucked.

      1. As an American I like the British voice acting in XC, but it wouldn’t quite make sense in this setting.

  12. I'm a Boss Ass Bitch

It would be down right fucking stupid if they had British actors doing this again. The USA flag means American accent (New Los Angeles ). Now if it was a British flag than maybe. For the Japanese, I don’t know. I guess Americans switched to japanese for some fucking reason.

  13. Hell yeah! I want to know what happens next!!!

I haven’t played the first release, so I’m glad to see many choices within the story evolution, if that’s new or not idk. I can’t wait to play it.

  14. do i hear funimation voice actors?? love funimation and i think the smaller girl is q ti from space dandy

  15. They look like puppets talking. Just moving their mouths and blinking their eyes. But with no human emotion. That’s what annoys me about video games. Also, I didn’t play much of the first Xenoblade (couldn’t stomach more than a couple hours), but why does this not even look like it’s from the same series?

  16. not gonna lie im pleasantly surprised with the voice acting here. the english trailer we got from the direct a while ago had me worried about the quality but i rather like these actresses; lyn isnt moeblob and elma just sounds cool to me so!!maybe that kind of quality can be expected from the whole cast?

  17. I’m happy the VAs don’t have a British accent. It would be weird listening to New Los Angeles residents with a British accent.

  18. well it was expected (but disappointing), the characters are US and it would have been weird if not stupid if it was a British accent. Personally I dislike American voice actor for dub cause I found them retarded. I just hope there will be the Japanese audio with English subtitle. I found very interesting people who want US voice over just because they were not used to British accent, make me smile. It just a shame they did not put a gordie accent cause I would have bought it straight away.

    1. I thought that long ago we were told that this game would not offer the Japanese version as an option.

  20. Ridley 4 Smash DLC!

I would complain about the lack of British voice actors… but considering the surviving humans are from the United States, it makes sense that they would have US voice actors instead.
