If you have been nervously awaiting news regarding Splatoon’s Splatfest European and North American delay, Nintendo has some good news. Splatfest will be returning July 4th (at 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET / 8 AM BT) and will end 24 hours later!
For the initiated Splatfest is a recurring event hosed by the Squid Sisters, Callie and Marie. During the event, Inklings are able to choose between two teams (in this case CATS and DOGS). Inkopolis is adorned with lights as these two factions duke it out.

You do know this is a North America splatfest, so Canada and Mexico wont be celebrating Independence Day.
The should totally be a Splatfest on Kid vs Squid. That way, they can finally answer the Month Old question. Are you a Kid, or a Squid…XD
